  • Help me get a second ride!

I own a pulsar 135ls with over 70k kms on the odo currently. The bike still does pretty well with frequent visits to the service stations. I am now planing to get a new one now and hope you bikers will help me out.

My daily commute is around 15kms to work and back. Weekend rides- around 100kms. My budget is 1.5 lacks and have also shortlist some options.

    1) Apache RTR 200 4v- looks stunning, got adequate juice and is pretty nimble when it comes to handling. Please suggest if I should go for the basic version available, carb + Pirelli or wait for the FI+ABS+Pirelli variant to be out.

    2) FZ250 - Looks really beasty. Has amazing torque and ridding comfort. But I'm confused if I should pay a premium for just +2nm of torque.

    3) NS200 2017- The last resort. This one beats both the afformentioned bikes hands down on paper. But Bajaj's always been a pain in the wrong place when it comes to maintaince. Servicing is never upto the mark and it's really difficult to get a good deal on the bike when u resell it.

Guys, please pour in your inputs and help me out of this dilemma.

    Query Approved

Since you have already owned a Bajaj, i would suggest the 200 or FZ 25. If you do go for the Apache, then take the Pirelli option.

Read the ownership threads for both to know more about the bikes and how much of a pain in the wrong place are they!
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

All are good motorcycles from the ones you've shortlisted. Since you might get bored to again go with Bajaj, Apache 200 or FZ250 are great motorcycles in their category and you can't go wrong with both.

Like Monk says get the Pirelli tyres or other better tyres than the stock TVS ones on Apache if you're a bit more serious rider this is the only issue to nitpick in TVS. FZ25 has poor headlight as stock and that is the only nitpicking for the Yamaha.

Hence finally it's best to enquire who has good customer support and service and go forward in your decision.

      Cheers!

I finally booked the Apache after a lot of thought and the bike was supposed to be delivered in 2-3 weeks. But now to my surprise the dealership called me up to say that tvs has stoped selling out Pirelli ones. I'm not sure if that's true or is the dealership just fooling me. Also if not tvs remora, could you suggest any other tyres, that would suit the apache?

        Please help.

Why don't you go check out some other dealership and see what they have to say. Drop a query to TVS as well about the same.

For aftermarket tyres on the bike, you can check out the ownership thread.
