  • Confused between Honda Hornet 160, Apache RTR200 and Yamaha FZ25

Hi all. I am new to this portal. I am teacher by profession, age 34, height 5'7" but not a bike enthusiast. Once upon a time I was. I am a proud owner of Hero Honda Ambition 135 that I bought in 2003 and has done till now 275000 km. The bikes still gives mileage of 54kmpl in Pune traffic. But it is time to give that bike to mg brother and go for a new powerful one.
I want bike for my daily commuting which is around 40km. Mileage expectations around 35 plus kmpl. But expecting that the engine should survive for a decade as my previous bike has been there with me for almost 15 years now. Which bike should I go for": Hornet, Apache RTR200 or FZ25?
    Please guide.

    Query Approved

Not a lot of people would have clocked that much on the bikes you have mentioned. But there is no reason why these three bikes won't last a long time if cared for. Though the three bikes are not in direct competition with each other
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

True said monk but if you want a gud mileage then you should prefer hornet 160 out of three , other reasons it is but light then rtr200 and fz25 so easygoing in heavy traffic and if you are planning for some tours then fz 25 coz it is more powerful n gud for highway . Ride safe Ride fast

All the bikes mentioned by you have solid build quality and are built to last. Specially the Japs. The FZ25 is a more powerful one with a decent mid-range. The Hornet on the other hand is a more apt city commuter. If you want to stick to city usage, it should be Hornet/FZ V2.0 as you will hardly need more than the available power within the city limits. But, if you are game for occasional long rides on the highway, go for FZ25/RTR 200.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Fz 25 has good low end & very good midrange may be the best in its segment.
Hornet not a good bike overall
Fzv2.0 feels like 125cc bike, ride with a pillion & it will feel like platina.

Consider gixxer it has fun at every rev range ,best city bike.

Fz 25 vs gixxer if you need extra power & lots of torque fz 25 otherwise gixxer
