Z650 ticks all your boxes, it's got amazing low to Mid range torque, usable on a daily basis, coming to the 600i, it is tuned for top end performance, something you won't see much of until your on the highway. Z650 being lighter will do better on the track aswell, the new ninja 650 is good as well.

Didn't follow that up? I'm from Chennai brother, but kawasaki service has become dodgy I've heard, not entirely sure tho, but a z800 owner told me, main reason for me to consider striple as a big bike option but not before I pick up a activa 😁.

i felt the z650 way more comfortable than the 600i.. its got better intrument cluster n looks very much updated compared for a 2017 model.. wheras 600 i has the 4 line n all but it still has many faults with the fuel guage, the weight 231 Kg , fuel leaking through engine if u fill till brim n ya like ul said the servicing cost ... just got attracted with the exhaust note n 4 line cylinder for 600i

Z650 is the ideal bike for the city, correct me if I'm wrong but the after sales value of kawasaki isn't that great? Similarly benelli.

Not only is it ideal for city but also a superb mile muncher on highways, because of its huge torque available low down. I too was in this conundrum when benelli arrived to India and was hooked up with its in-line 4 engine and its sound, but that's just a novelty factor if one is going to consider buying a bike. The most important of all should be the character of a bike on how it makes you feel and believe me I had no intentions of owning the current bike I have., i.e., Kawasaki Er6n when all I could think of was the 600i, but one ride with it changed the whole perception for me with Kawasaki and why people owning the Ninja 650 vouch on its bulletproof reliability and now after 1 year and 3 months of owning this wonderful machine and munching up 12k+ KMS on both daily office rides as well as long rides, I can say I took the correct decision on it and for once both my heart and my mind were in agreement with it, no issues at all so far and even with regards to servicing, I must say no issues there too even after Kawasaki started on their own now cutting the ties with Bajaj-KTM and since the Z650 is the successor of the Er6n, its everything better as its way more lighter and even more torquier I believe in the lower RPM range as if the Er6n wasn't better there. The only grouse about the Z650 which I feel is, it lacks the big bike feel that the Er6n has mainly because of its weight shedding and also the vertically stacked headlights being replaced with a single headlight unit.

Zee makes the most sense here and it is overall a better bike. However, if I may suggest, I will recommend saving up for some time and getting something like a Street Triple or Z900 base model. Honestly dear friend, they are much better bikes and are actually worth spending money on. Otherwise you will get over Z650 and 600i in couple of months and will crib each time a real superbike overtakes you and you can barely keep up.

If you are not financing the bike then I will also recommend checking the used Superbike market. You can get a good Z800 for 6ish lacs or a good used 1000 for 8ish lacs.
