  • Choosing right bike for me!!!

    Hello friends,
I am planning to buy new bike for myself. Currently my bike is hero honda splendor plus. My details are,
    1) Height 5' 8"
    2) Weight 80 Kg
    3) Daily travel (To and from office) 45 Km

    My requirements are
    1) Comfort for riding specially considering our super roads
    2) Of course mileage too but upto 50/litr is okay for me

Currently bike in my mind are
    1) Hero achiever
    2) Yamaha sz rr ver 2.0
My budget is flexible for 80k. If there any other bike with less cc but fulfill my criteria then also suggest me one. Thanks in advance.

I don't think an 150cc bike can give 50kmpl in city riding.

Glamour or Shine should be good enough.

TD both bikes and see which one you like better as its you who will be riding it.
Yamaha's engine would be better than Hero's.

I would ask you to avoid hero now as the quality has gone down a lot and lot of niggles are popping in new bikes and the SVC have become government office like.

Can bajaj trust you to maintain your bike, service it at regular intervals, keep it's chain clean and lubed, keep oil and other fluids at optimum levels, avoid rash driving and so on ? Then yes.

Yeah, test ride both the bikes and decide. Not a lot you can figure out with paper research.

Check ownership section, you can find all the pros and cons of those bikes and lot more.

Honestly I drive at a sedate 60-65 kmph max (Not a big fan of speed although I do love accelerating like crazy), my bike after 55000 km needs a bore-piston change which I've been putting off in hopes of saving up to buy a bigger bike soon (Also Bajaj).
After your query I took it to 90 kmph today morning, no vibrations whatsoever However it's bit light weight and not exactly stable due to the windblast on the highway so didn't go up any further and not sure even if it would since the bore-piston needs changing and top speed/acceleration would be reduced until this is changed.
