• Hi All

Dear fellow xBhpians,

Glad to join this community. Im based out in Chennai and a motorcycle tourer by heart.

Right now looking to buy a good tourer but confused between many options in the market today. Below are the options i have in mind.
1. Royal Enfield Standard 350
2. Bajaj Dominar
3. Bajaj Avenger 220 Street
4. Royal Enfield Himalayan
5. Yamaha FZ25

Would love any advice from the forum members. Also looking forward to post my travelogues and interact.

Thanks and regards,
Anand.

Re: Hi All

Hi,
Thanks for approving my thread. Im usually a laid back rider and frankly I dislike speeding. So power wont be much of a concern here. But torque is important as I'll be doing very long runs on the bike. Seats must be comfortable (I owned an avenger before and I liked the way the seats were designed. But most probably im not looking to go back to Bajaj if there are other options).
Regards,
Anand

Re: Hi All

Looking at your query i can break it into two parts.
1.) if you have budget under 1.4 lac then I advise you to get FZ 25. A good bike with reliable engine and good fuel efficiency and good service network.

2.) if you can spend more then 1.5 lac

If you can live with Enfield heritage of issues vibrations and breakdowns then go for new Himalayan or you can choose Dominar with ABS.
Power, seat comfort, and service networks.

Test drive all the above mentioned bikes back to back on the very same day and decide.

Hi h_bharti,
Thanks for the suggestions. Have my mind clear on 2 bikes now still. Either to go for FZ25 or the Fazer25.
Sorry if im bothering too much with questions, its just that i dont want to rush into a decision and regret it later.
Regards,
Anand.

Hi Anand,

The FZ25 and the Fazer 25 are mechanically same and the only difference is in the aesthetic department. I'd personally prefer the FZ25 over the bulbous Fazer. Finally, I will advise you to ride both the bikes back to back and see which tickles your fancy. You won't go wrong with either of them.

Hope this helps

FZ25 is a no-nonsense VFM bike from Yamaha which is almost perfectly priced. Can maintain decent speed without getting rough!
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.
