Suggest a best commuter bike
Hi friends, I have decided to buy a commuter bike (110cc)as 100cc bikes are less powerful. My daily travel is around 65 to 70kms. Please suggest me a 110 cc bike with good fuel efficiency of around 65 to 70. I have some of the bikes in my wishlist :Yamaha saluto rx, tvs Victor, Honda dream neo. I don't need disc break as it will be more than 60k.please suggest me a good two wheeler.Tags: None

Re: Suggest a best commuter bike
In the Honda stable, Livo is a better choice than the Dream series. The seats are comfortable and the engine is peppy. One of my colleagues using it for the past 6+ months and is happy. The electrical wiring and equipment was a spot of bother for him.
Saluto on the other hand should be a more practical choice as the pricing is almost similar to a 110cc but it has a bigger engine. The horsepower count and kerb weight is almost similar to a 110cc.
But, anything you chose should come with a disc brake. Disc variants cost around 2K-3K more than the drum variants but this is nothing when compared to the value of life and limb. Only a few centimeters of braking distance can alter the course of life!
Choose wisely.A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Re: Suggest a best commuter bike
Go for tvs victor if you want a better value for money.
Or opt for a discover if you want a tried and tested option.
Forget saluto and dream neo.
Both Bajaj and tvs are always ahead in the feature list when compared to the Japanese counterparts subject to a lil difference in performance.
You won’t have any service or spare parts issues in tvs and Bajaj.
Moreover they are easy and economical to maintain.

Re: Suggest a best commuter bike
Considering your daily drive of 65 to 70 Kms you may feel the 110 cc bike category powerless (My personal opinion) after some years of using it so raise the budget a little bit and consider New Honda Shine as it will be more reliable in the long run and powerful for daily drives. And you can still get decent fuel efficiency with it.

Re: Suggest a best commuter bike
Thanks everyone for the suggestion. I have come across saluto rx 110cc which is the only bike in my budget of 60k with all accessories. Also I'm going to have a test drive for tvs Victor, Honda livo and saluto rx. Will share the infos after test drive, friends. Thanks everyone for the suggestions ✌️✌️

Best of luck bro, i had ridden saluto rx the main problem is bike is very light weight it feels like it will take off at high speeds 😁. You may also consider discover 125 if you stretch your budget a little bit.Originally posted by Navk View PostThanks everyone for the suggestion. Re: Suggest a best commuter bike
Yes I will consider star city +, but I don't like Honda commuter bikes. They don't even give bikes for test drive. They just say it's a Honda u can have your test drive when you get your bike. I have faced this problem personally.

Re: Suggest a best commuter bike
Lol for that take off 😂but I weigh about 68kgs. Also the less weight will return more mileage I guess. Also Yamaha is offering 4000rs as cash back through paytm it seems. So the actual price of saluto rx come to around 58000-4000=54000(inclusive of accessories,, 5yrs engine warranty) . Do you think it's a good dealOriginally posted by archis.das View PostBest of luck bro, i had ridden saluto rx the main problem is bike is very light weight it feels like it will take off at high speeds 😁. First of all Test ride. I think you will love the Victor most, based on its awesome quality. All the best in your search. All bike will give you more or less same mileage if ridden sanely.HH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3

Yeah Honda personal is very rude and thats the main reason i had not bought livo, i visited 3 dealerships and all of them not allowed to test drive also they dont entertain you to buy a bike.Originally posted by Navk View PostYes I will consider star city +, but I don't like Honda commuter bikes.
