  • Should I buy R3?

I am getting a BS3 R3 from yamaha showroom for 2 lakh with only ran 2000kms(It was used as demo in showroom). I am a college going student. Mileage is a concern. I am not experienced in riding bikes. Will it be good for a beginner? Would a student be able to fuel it? I will only ride it in weekends and holidays mainly. Should I buy it for 2lakh or buy any other bike?

    Query Approved

A demo R3 with already a few kilometres clocked might not be the best machine for a beginner with no experience. Look elsewhere would be my advice.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

If your mileage conscious, why are you even considering r3, no disrespect you rather get a splendour or platina. If you want mileage n okay ish Power look at the gixxer sf, it's the cheapest fully faired motorcycle with abs, makes best sense. Any bike over 200cc I would not look for mileage, maybe decent mileage but more performance. If your a fan of yamaha go take a test of ride if the fz 25, and other bikes like the ns 200, Duke 200, rtr200. But please never ever look for mileage in 250plus cc bike, it absolutely doesn't make much sense.

I will say if you are looking for mileage only than best option is to choose a bike of 100-125CC . If you want a little bit better than choose 150CC category bike where you will get the mileage around 40+ easily.R3 is a good bike but mileage will be around 25 but it's a great bike to have . As a student I can say it's easy to maintain a 150CC for a student.
