  • Should I go for Pulsar 220?

I am 18 years old,and want to purchase a first bike in my life, and I am not so pro and don't have so much knowledge on bikes.

I saw Pulsar 220 and I loved the looks.should I go for that bike or something else or is any new bike from pulsar bandwagon coming soon.

And what will be the price of Pulsar 220 in Bhubaneswar(Orissa).

See dude, there is another unreleased & expected bike, Ninja 250R, but that would be way expensive than P220. It would be around 2 Lacs+ ...

and yes, let me tell you Bajaj said that they would release it in May, but don't trust this info as 100% correct!

P220 is a nice machine, but you should wait for its' 2009 edition.... Wait for 1-2 months anyway.

The Pulsar 180's 2009 edition is quite refined and better than earlier UG3. I'm sure 220 should be waited for....

BTW it is Pulsar, not Pulshur ...

@samar: If I were you, I would listen to MG and wait for some time.

^^^ !it is still a spelling mistake! but vowels are interchangeable... right?

@samratm, do you have previous riding experience? are you well built (at least mediocre...)?

see, the 220 is a torquey beast and it gets difficult to handle it of not ridden sensibly... that's why I asked you if you have riding experience and since it is heavier than most other bikes, if you are very leanly built and cannot handle much weight.. add that to inexperience in handling bikes, the 220 can become a tough thing to handle. well, not trying to scare you.. .but at 18, you should defanitely think of it.

Otherwise, wait for the new edition P220 and go for it.

+1 to that! I fell off my Fiero F2 thrice due to the disc brake in the beginning few months coz I had graduated from a Kinetic Honda which has both brakes on the hands.
But there are many other first time riders who have gone for premium bikes. Depends on your adaptability&learning abilities. Please think over&then make a well informed decision, whichever bike you go for.

If this will be your first bike, you better stick to a good well balanced 150cc bike like the Unicorn. My 2 cents
Else, wait for a month, the P220 UG I is just around the corner
