  • Only confusion, no solution....

The problem - I currently own a Suzuki Gixxer which was purchased in September 2017. Since December I have been out of India for work and the bike is being used by my father for his daily commute, he loves the bike so much that he sold off his bike. When I come back home in June another bike will be required for daily use.

Now the problem is that this new bike can be a common commuter or another 150cc bike or an upgrade to the gixxer (like the fazer25).

I am hoping to get suggestions from forum members for three different categories -
    1. 125cc commuter bikes
    2. 150-180cc bike
    3. 200- 250cc bike

The budget I think would be around the 1.5 lakhs mark.

If a commuter I should finalized then that will be used by my father (but I doubt he would go back to a commuter after using the gixxer everyday)

If a 150cc bike is finalized it will be used by both of us.

If a higher capacity bike is chosen then that will only be used by me.

Hope you people can understand my situation and give valuable feedback.

Since your dad is already used to the 150cc, it would be best if you buy a larger capacity bike to enjoy the best of both worlds!
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

      Yes that's correct as well.

I always tell him that he won't be able to go back to a common commuter after the gixxer. [emoji14]

I'm somewhat hesitant to go for a 250cc bike now, mainly because of lack of options. I like the Fazer 25 but it doesn't have abs yet and I'm not very happy about the looks of the RTR 200. Bajaj is a big NO in every category.

In the 150cc category fzs looks like a good option now that it has a rear disk.

I have also heard timers about the new updated Apache twins, any news on that?

FZ25 should be an ideal choice apart from Xtreme 200. Both the bikes can be used by your father on a few occasions.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.
