  • looking for a 110cc motorcycle for using in the city(delhi-ncr)

    My requirements are:
    1. It should be good in heavy traffic (handling) with decent Low End Torque
2.It must have front disk brake.
    3. Good suspension to smoothen out bumps.
    4. Bright headlight, Good quality tires for safety( atleast 3 inches and must not skid)
    5. Should be easy to service and maintain.
    6. mileage should be approx 55-60 kmpl in city.
    7. It should be able to carry two people without strain.(I find 100cc bikes to be a tad underpowered.)
    8. Engine needs to be refined without excessive NVH.
    9. It should be light weight because my weight is just 55kg and hight is 5 feet 6 inches.
    10. Daily run 30 to 40 km.
    11. I want it for atleast 5 to 8 years so engine and body parts must be reliable for longer time.
    12- budget- 60-65k

I have narrowed it down to TVS Victor, passion pro 110, passion xpro 110 and honda livo.

plz suggest best bike for me.

Best would be to avoid hero because of the quality issues.

You can look into Shine SP as well, otherwise Livo is good.

Thanks for your opinion. Shine SP is out of my budget and there is less kmpl as well. I heard livo vibrates too much after 60kmph. Is that true?

The New Victor should be the first choice. An all round good bike.

Livo is also good. But while you are at Honda Showroom, check out the Shine SP as well. The 125cc engine is only 15cc more and you will get an additional 5th gear, which is very useful on long highways.

If you want something different, check out the Yamaha Saluto. Not sure if a disc version is available, but the bike is good and a reliable workhorse. Find out how the authorized service centers are before buying.

At the end there is not much difference between these bikes, you cannot go wrong with any of them. Take test rides and make sure that the service centers are good.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Many thanks for your opinion. Shine sp mileage is below 50kmpl thats why i m not interested in it and livo looks far better than it. I rarely ride on open highway. Everbody know about Delhi/ncr traffic 😫. I m impressed with Victor but local bike mechanic said that spare parts are not available for Victor. Is that true? I live in east delhi. how to know which service centre is good or bad?

In a metropolitan city like Delhi, I don't think you will have any problems regarding the spare parts. And TVS is one of the biggest bike manufacturers in the country. There is a chance that availability of the after market parts is low. But as long as you buy your parts from the authorized service centers, you should have nothing to worry about.

Regarding how good a authorized service center is, usually the service center is just at the back of the showroom, whenever you go for a test ride, take a walk in the service center as well, see how nicely or badly they are treating the bikes. there will be owners who have come to service their bikes, chat with them, ask them questions. you might find someone with the same bike that you want to buy, ask him about general issues on his bike. How reliable or good it is. Actual mileage figures etc. They will give you much better ideas about particular service center.

2017 July I was also having a similar question in mind, as I was planning to buy a 110 cc bike for my son. My observations: of the 110 cc bikes available Livo is ths best looking. However, TVS Victor is similarly priced but has more features like 65W headlight (most bikes have 35W headlight), LED DRL, RPM gauge, trip meter and about 1BHP more power than Livo. But my son choose Livo for the looks. But Livo has a lot of vibrations. We also have a Honda Unicorn 160 and thought Livo will be similarly refined, but alas no. But anyway for city rides i. e. for short durations tha vibration factor is not that important.
I would also suggest to look at Yamaha Saluto 125. Yes, it is 125 cc but price is similar to Livo or Victor. Company advertised kmpl of Saluto is also same as Livo i. e 78 kmpl.

Forgot to add. In city traffic the mileage we are getting from Livo is 60+

Well after Hero's sad break up with the Honda heros product are more inconsistent and offer very low VFM factor and the quality of the products have gone down several notches only the thing is after sales are acceptable so no one complains but i don't want any of the xbhpians or my friends to get into trouble like me so go for Honda, TVS, or Yamaha they are your best bets. The worst thing about hero's products is service interval it is damn 3 months and whoever has made this rule if meets me I am pretty sure his head and body will be very much separated by me[emoji35] [emoji23]. Hero nowadays is more of a confused company than a successful one and is just failing to offer quality products. It is just eating on its godsake name nothing else is great about it.

1 year back I was in exactly the same position as you.

I bought tvs victor, and am happy with it. It is definitely better than livo and more vfm than shine.

Don't worry too much about parts availability with local mech, they are used to splendor, passion and don't like recommending anything else. You will be able to get parts at authorised dealers or online quite easily. And you can buy parts yourself and give to the local mech if needed.

Saluto might be also a good option since yamaha is known for its engine refinement.

Take a test ride of both victor and saluto and you can decide based on your comfort.

I personally would still go for victor since it seemed to have slightly better equipment and build quality than saluto.

Lastly I don't know how the new xpro is, the old one based on Honda engine is a good bike.

I went against mechanic advice, and I don't regret it.

Among all the bikes You have listed, TVS Victor has the best fit and Finish and good plastic quality. Havnt ridden Livo, but the Twister(from where Livo is derived), was not a smooth bike as per my experience. Test ride numerous times and decide. My vote- TVS Victor.
