Indeed! That's what I wish to say.. with ZMA is you get an already proven reliable stuff... though a bit old.. IMO, R-15 is yet to prove it's reliability in long run..

Sorry, there was a bit of misunderstanding..

Absolutely. I agree! But, calling them money centric bcoz of lack of flood of new products from them, isn't right!

Yes they did. Still a few flaws remain at times and the consumer is unable to get it replaced/ fixed, and had to bear the trouble..

Personally I don't like the quality of materials used in Bajaj's Pulsar, and yeah that maybe my view-point..

I understand that, and someday hopefully Bajaj will too match the quality of Honda..

        well well
individual perception were and will be there!!!!!

and if hh are not doing any improvements!!! they are saving money.....
and yamaha are spending money on research and what are they giving us???
do u feel the price is justified???

        @ topic
        friend
if u still arent content......go n test ride from another showroom ..... and then think on the fuel economy ..... maintenace..... etc......
i did test ride and felt both of the bikes are really nice in their aspect

r15 is a track or race bike......... so it will have high top end and all
but the question is do u have the ability to ride that fast
or will u be in places to ride that fast ....

        zma is a diff bike

you sit and decide what kinda bike u like......... if not
then dont buy .... take the cabs
coz then if u feel after buying
        that it was a mistake
then u ll have a tough time
        unless ur rich

ps : no offence bro...... just trying to make u understand

I'm noticing that members ask 1-line questions here, and never follow up properly.

and others are discussing those facts that, we all know ...

Guys, let "animal" reply as to what he needs, from the bike clearly, before we post again.

@ animal: Dude, Please let us know more details. What is the situation you'll ride in? City or Freeway?? Priority--> Speed or comfort??

I would say R15. You would be traveling 100 kms a day so you need something fast. Not that ZMA is not fast but R15 is really different. At high speeds the racing stance is really helpful. You hardly feel the speed. If you are a comparitively slow rider and prefer comfort then zma.

even though u r a fast rider.. comfort is something which cannot be sacrificed.. coz this is not for a weekend speed burst thing.. u need it for daily use, travelling 100kms everyday, is no joke.. dont compromise on comfort..!!
try both.. see the first impression over comfort u get on both machines... enough power is there in both machines, more or less a bit in either...
i wont speak about the ZMA's torque & relibility or the sporty stance & power of R15, .. always keep in mind, ny machine u buy, ur body will automatically adopt the sitting position & comfort level.. so u may have no regrets

Congrats dude. Enjoy the ride. And Welcome to the Zma family.

Few suggestions, please be soft on the bike for the initial 1000km. Keep rpm under 4k with occasional burst up to 5k. Never ride constantly at same rpm, keep varying.

Change the engine oil at 100km, only 10w30 HH engine oil.

No synthetic oil, only mineral oil. Change the oil at 100km. Again at regular service.
