All of your requirements are met by the Honda Shine SP. This bike with its 5th gear would let you cruise effortlessly at speeds over 60 and return a higher economy too.

Re: Looking for a new bike

Out of the shortlisted bikes, Shine SP should be the first choice. One of my cousins owns one and has completed about 5 years on it. It is absolutely niggle free bike, just get it serviced on time and then fill it and forget it. The SP one comes with a 5 speed gear box and I think there is a version equipped with front disc (if you are interested). Honda lives up to its name on god like reliability, a great and reliable machine.

Second choice should be the glamour. Very few are seen on the road after the Hero and Honda breakup. One of my friends owns one and he is not a very good owner. The bike still serves without any complains and is a good and reliable workhorse. I'm not sure if the new one comes with 5 speed gearbox, but a disc variant with FI is available.

The V12 should be the third choice, looks good but the engine is a bit vibey (If compared to the other two), but on its own a good bike nonetheless. Then again, if you compare anything in the world with Japs; it will lose. A good option to choose, if you want something different and can live with not so smooth engine.

Take test rides and then decide.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

If you can extend your budget slightly then I would suggest you go for CB Unicorn, a no-nonsense motorcyle with trouble free service for many many years. Mine just completed 12 years and is still going strong.

Shine is a good choice - no doubts. In fact, all the three bikes mentioned by you are good for commuting.
But, I'd suggest you to include Saluto in your list for its nimbleness, quality and good FE. Do give it a try.

From the list, Shine is a good choice - using 2008 Shine not SP or CB but same engine. Its good, comfy and fuel consumption - everything ticks the list.

V12 - unique looks & comfortable- plus it looks like v15 so gives a slightly premium touch.

Do test drive before buying to see what suits you.
