  • What bike to upgrade from pulsar 150

    Hi Xbhpians,
I'm currently running a pulsar150 with 1,00,000 in the ODO and planning to upgrade to a good 150-200 CC bike. I'm not a big fan of new school designs.
Please suggest some good bikes with the budget limited to 1,20,000.

    Checklist:
    1. Rider and Pillion Comfort.
    2. Decent KMPL.
    3. Pillion Seat height.

    Considerations made:
    1. Pulsar 180.

    All the suggestions are welcome.

    Topic Approved.

Yes, Pulsar 180 is good. Have you considered Pulsar 200 NS? or Pulsar 220 DTSi? One more bike you may consider in your budget is TVS Apache RTR 200 4v.

But to pinpoint one good bike, would require that you share more info about your riding needs.

200NS and the RTR200 should be the proper upgrade. A 180 is just bored out 150 with insignificant power bump. You won't even feel the difference between your old bike and the new one.

If you are worried about the mileage, the NS160 and RTR160 will suit you. But you wont get the bells and whistles of the 200 (ABS, liquid cooled engines, rear disc brakes, 6th gear).

Considering that you have the budget to go for a 200, the NS200 and RTR200 it would be a proper upgrade. Both are good bikes and have good reviews from the owners, you cannot go wrong with any of the two. Take test rides and choose the one that suits you the best.

200NS should be a proper upgrade for you. Also, you have already been there in familiar territory.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.
