  • Daily commuter for me and my dad

I own a R15 v2 that I'm going to sell because it's a very uncomfortable bike for me. I own a Ducati Supersport that I use for daily commute to office and weekend trips. I'm 6'1" and my dad is 5'7" and I definitely do not want him on a liter class bike. I was looking for a 100cc motorcycle that I can ride in my locality and can carry stuff when i shop. My dad can also ride it for ocassional ride in the locality. Won't go further than 10 kms at a time on this bike, for that there is the Ducati.

    My needs are:
    1. Bike should be cheap with good mileage. Second had works too.
    2. Should have provision for adding hooks and stuff so I can carry bags when I shop in the locality. Carrying things on R15 was absolutely disastrous.
    3. Should be very low maintenance.

Or should I look at a scooty instead? If yes which one?

I think I like the bajaj CT100, tvs sport, honda cd 110.

    Thanks in advance!
    DUCATI

    Query Approved

Buy a scooter. Much more convenient.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

      +1 for a gearless scooter.
There is a long line of good scooters to choose from starting from 110 cc to 125 cc.

TVS Jupiter, Wego, Ntorq, Honda Activa, Dio and Aviator, Hero maestro, Duet and pleasure, Suzuki Access, Swish etc are all good options.
They all have similar engines and give similar mileage. You cannot go wrong with any of them.
Choose the one that suits you the best.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Hey brother you can choose Honda unicorn 150 with closed eyes.. the power is good and your dad would be totally comfortable... Don't go for hornet or unicorn 160...

Thanks, will start looking for reviews. Which one would you pick out of them?

TVs Jupiter or Honda Activa would be my first choice. Both are really popular and hundreds of thousands of these are on our roads. This will ensure the easy availability of spare parts for many years to come.
Both of them are very practical and easy to use, give good fuel economy and are light on pocket in terms of service and maintenance.

Jupiter is the one which I'd recommend.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Go for a Honda CD 110. Good product. Light weight. Genuine handler. Durable Honda. Sturdy frame. Need to change tyres. Ceat secura zoom both front and back for ultra grip in twist and turn kind of areas and immediate breaking effect.

Suzuki Access 125. Go for the newly launched CBS variant.
