No substitute for Cubic Inches-almost same weight but 30 more BHP of the Z900 makes for an unstrained engine and a better cruising experience on the Z-and the Z has none of handlebar tingles of the C650 at 120-130kmph

I don't think you can term any, better over the other in general. It all depends on what kind of riding you do, what are your preferences. Both are very good bikes with their own pros and cons.

So if you can provide a bit more detail about your requirements, it will help people answering your question.

I feel the z900 has the edge in performance. However the maintenance cost is high. If you are buying the bike to use for 2-3 years and then sell, then take the Kawasaki.

I would pick the CBR purely because of the low maintenance cost. I like to keep my bikes for 5 years minimum, and as long as it's financially viable to maintain. I have a 2012 CBR 250 and I will keep it till it falls apart. Honda has got a 5 year warranty on the 650f. No brainer for me..

Agreed, what type of riding etc, would help in giving better suggestions.

It also depends on what type of riding stance you prefer.. z900 has a very relaxed slightly forward riding position. Whereas 650F has aggressive stance, not as much as RC390 but it does hurt your back n wrists after a while. My opinion is rent those bikes for a day or so before taking the plunge.

That's because absence of counter balancer shaft in cbr650f.. on refinement, one cannot beat the z900 in its class..

                Thanks rachit for the reply,
Looking for a bike for a daily commute as
I'm not into touring(might be in future)
I rode both the bike in a same day.. both the bikes are good looking at their own ways.. z900 felt more aggressive in terms of power, 125hps of raw power in city traffic, which is enough to gave mee goosebumps, but the refinement level of the bike, no vibrations nothing is there a purly inline 4 butter smooth engine.

On the other hand 2018 honda is fully faired touring bike which looks very appealing in millennium red, the power delivery is calm and linear which is not scary( bahgegi par faadegi nahi đź…), Quality of the bike is top notch and obvsly honda is known for its good after sales cheap service and maintenance cost(honda spare parts like chain sprocket set is around 8k to 10k & kawasaki z900 will cost you around 38k) which have to be changed after 15000kms.. so maintaining a kawasaki is more then double the honda..

Hey thanks friend for your concern,
I also own a cbr250r 2011 model and there is hardly any expense in a bike , the bike is running perfectly fine,i have done 19000kms on my cbr, honda is known for its reliability,

Kawasaki z900 is beautiful bike with great power delivery but maintaining a kawasaki is big headache as I intend to keep a bike for a long.

Your not considering the Suzuki gsx s 750? It's CKD and it's priced between the z and the cbr in terms of power and price just being slightly off the z being 150cc smaller and has added advantages of electronics, low rpm assist, etc.

Re: Really confused between z900 or cbr650f

Does anyone have an idea on Suzuki spares and services cost and experience in Delhi? Dream Suzuki is one of the dealers..
The service cost quoted to me for the gsx s750 was 6-7k every 4 months, which is pretty steep, but i don't know how good and trustworthy the dealer is, and the cost of spares and of owning a big displacement suzuki. Are current busa and gsx s1000 owners happy?

The reason i've asked this here is only if Rahul has considered this bike option, and it has been offered as an option. I am in a similar dilemma at present.

Yes it's a good bike but the only drawback is it's maintenance cost and service intervals, you have to pay 6 to 7k for every 4 months.
On the other hand.. as kawasaki is offering mee the bike at 8 lacks onroad in delhi but again heavy to maintain, chain sprocket set of the z900 is about 38k which have to be changed after 15000 to 20000 kms(depends on your riding style)
On the other hand, Honda is the cheapest to maintain among all these, the services will cost you around 2900 after that 4000 to 4500 including labour charges and chain sprocket set is around 10000₹

                      Hi taran,
It depends on you.. if you want to keep a bike for a long then go for honda, it will never give the pain of maintenance and it's not feul sensitive bike..

And you want a bike which gives more thrill and intend to keep a bike for 2 to 3years then go for kawasaki.. as west delhi kawasaki is offering a good bargain discount.

But as i heard / read it's pocket friendly to keep a honda. I had a lengthy chat with honda management and sales head about the same and it does take an edge over other bikes.

I am looking out for a bike that's gonna run long.. long trip comfort, ease of ride, and honda tops the list. So I guess it's going to be honda soon .

Why are you guys not considering triple? Is money playing a spoil sport in the decision process?

With KTM like flick ability, massive service intervals. Abundant aftermarket parts, good road side assistance and dealership network, bulletproof engine reliability, good resale value and decently priced spare parts (super-bike standards) its the bike to go with, IMHO. :-)

I think it’s the bike that can be passed on to generations to come.

If I remember correctly, 2014 striple was the first superbike I rode and man it was so much fun. It’s like it greets every rider with arms wide open. So accommodating, so much fun and that intake note is like pure symphony to ears.

PS: Z900 (test ride) is available for sale with Kawasaki Chandigarh if anyone is interested. The person who buys it will be the first owner. They have quoted the price of 7,20,000 but they are open to negotiations [emoji4]

Yep, it is just out of my price range. I started with a budget of max 6, now stretched it to 8, so can't go to 11 lacs, which is what the 765 s will cost in Noida, along with the basic protection kit.
Thanks for the tip on the Z900. Out of curiosity, how much advisable is it to pick up a test vehicle? The triumph 765 s here in delhi was dropped and has some scratches on the side so maybe i can convince them on a good deal :P.

                              Hi,
Honda is surly the winner in maintenance league and obviously more decent looking and practical bike, linear powered for city traffic conditions.
Mine is coming this month, really excited!

No idea, for the saddle frame friend.
