  • New 150-160cc bike

Hello friends, I own 2009 CBZ Xtreme and looking for replacement for same. I test rode RTR 160 4V with my father as pillion. The ride was very smooth and pillion seat was practical.

I am looking for bike with practical pillion seat.

I have certain criteria and have listed them in highest order of priority.

    1. Smooth engine.

    2. Long life of engine.

    3. Good handling capability.

    4. Decent mileage for 40+ kmpl.

    5. Low maintenance.

I work in area where there is problem of water logging. So bike should be able to bear that.

I am open all options from Unicorn 150 ( yes, it's available) to RTR 160 4V.

    Thanking you in advance.

    Topic Approved.

How about getting the next Xtreme, the Xtreme 200R? Its soon to be launched. It should be available for the price of a typical 180cc, so you might check it out.

I don't know how smooth the RTR was in your case, because they're generally known to be vibey, unless its the Hyper Edge you talk about which was a "Bit better" to the best of my knowledge.

You may check out Unicorn 160R for your needs too.

Apart from that, half faired or naked variant of the Bajaj Discover 150 may also suit your needs...

As always, test ride, before you decide.

      Is this available?

Remember someone suggested few weeks back. I don't see in the listings. Bajaj silently launched and yet to update in their official website?

        Thanks sir.
160 RTR 4V Was very smooth. But I would like to know more about it. The ownership thread is very new now.

Discover 150 is not available in any Showroom of Bajaj in my city.

Waiting for the launch of Xtreme 200. Showroom says it might take a month or two.

Let's see. Waiting for more comments from other members.

Yes guys, Sorry, the Discover 150 is discontinued, most probably due to zero sales in October 2016.

I was not referring to the 4V... I was referring to the old one. So you're right.

How about getting the Honda X-Blade 160? It's an awesome bike. Smooth engine, Comfortable Seats, 40+ mileage, Low on maintenance. We had the Bajaj Discover 150 semi faired version that was launched in 2014 but traded it for X-Blade[emoji16]. Booked the X-Blade 2 days ago. The On-Road price of X-Blade here in Pune is Rs 92,359.

Did you consider the unicorn 150 vs the xblade?

If you want a practical bike for long time ownership+comfortable and smooth ride, Unicorn 150 and SZ-RR are the best options imo. Both have proven portfolios and are niggle free.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Yamaha has the best engine refinement for sure.

Bro I'm an RTR 160 4v owner and can tell you that it's very smooth to ride with butter smooth gear shifts. It is very practical and also a fun to ride bike.

Agreed it's a great improvement over previous generation RTRs. But refinement and smoothness of a Yamaha is still better than the best.
