Please note that normal electric scooters have "Lead Acid" batteries which do not last long, and have to be replaced with a heavy sum, once in a 1-3 years. Plus, they charge in a long time, 8-12 hours or so.
You're safe when you go with a Lithium Ion battery. They're present in your mobile phones, and are much better option for the long run with upto 1000+ charges and quick charging.


Try checking out your surroundings for a Lycan L250 (new or second hand). This is a moped like e bike, which has a Lithium Ion battery, good for 50 kms/ charge and 25 kmph.
It costed Rs. 49999 before GST. No idea now, I think its production might have stopped, but its located in Pune. Check it here:- Lycan


Your other choice is to go to a Hero Electric showroom, ask for a Lithium ion version of their existing e-bike...

If you're prepared to extend your budget a bit, try going for any one Okinawa scooter, but only the one with a Lithium ion battery.


There are many cheap ebikes with lead acid batteries available, like Yobyke and all, coming in as low as Rs. 30000 or so.
But they charge in a long period (8-12 hours or so) and go bad real soon.

Avoid lead acid battery. Go for Li-ion only, even though its expensive in beginning. Even if you have to take finance, go for Li ion.

Any user experiences of electric scooters like Okinawa ridge plus or hero optima Li ?
How long does the battery lasts and how much deprecation of its usable range per charge during its course of usage ??
