I don't have much experience with non-Pulsar Bajaj bikes but I was settled on the CT 100 and TVS Sport. I haven't seen many CT's around but TVS Sport is really popular and fun to ride as well. Now both the bikes have great FE and I got a quotation of 38K OTR for the Sport (Spoke & Non-Electric Start) which I think is a steal. I still want to hear how both the bikes fare against each other in many aspects related to the practicality of city commuting. I have noticed that the TVS bikes aren't popular here but I'm sort of set on buying it and would appreciate someone detailing it out.

TVS Sport v/s CT 100
Me and my brother had a long discussion about our current garage bikes and we currently have 3 bikes (CD 100, Unicorn 2016 and Splendor Pro), out of which 2 are completely left unused (CD & Unicorn). I regularly use my Splendor for heavy traffic commutes in the city and my roommate's Hornet when I'm at the Uni. That completely eliminates the need for me to use the other two bikes at home. My dad's too short to ride the Unicorn and he drives my Splendor when I'm not around. Now, the CD isn't in a great condition and I'd like to leave it at that while I can find time to restore it. That leaves me to sell the Unicorn and get something which can be used to city commutes as my brother prefers to go to his workplace of 40KMS by car which is convenient given the nature of the route he takes.

Re: TVS Sport v/s CT 100
I woud say, take the Platina instead of the above two. Minor bump in budget and you get a better bike overall.
Among the 2 bikes you have shortlisted, you wont go wrong in any of them. quite similar bikes. Just check, whose service center in nearer to your home. get that. Get the alloy wheel version- easier to clean.HH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3
