  • Pulsar 150 Vs Fzs V2 vs Gixxer sf (USED)

Hello Xbhpians ! I'm planning to buy a Used bike but I'm confused between these three bikes (Pulsar 150,Fz s V2 and Gixxer SF ) My priorities are
1.Good power and Decent Touring Capability (I know that the bikes I have mentioned above are not tourers but I'm planning to use my bike for occasional touring)
    2.Mileage (Must atleast return 45kmpl)
And finally I need some advice from Experts here on buying used bikes [emoji4]

Re: Pulsar 150 Vs Fzs V2 vs Gixxer sf (USED)

There are a whole lot of unknown factors when a person decides to get a used bike.
We can list out the pros and cons of a brand new bike, but how good or bad a second hand bike is? - that is up to the previous owner.

A good owner can keep an ordinary Indian bike working like a charm for a long period of time, while a bad owner can crap on a usually good and reliable Japanese or European bike.

It all ends up on how the previous owner has taken care of the bike. Was it serviced regularly, consumables like engine oil, air filter, oil filter, brake pads and shoes replaced on time, did he ride is rough, revving its nuts off (redlining it everytime he got on saddle), did he use it for wheelies and stoppies and burnouts often. We would never know.

So my advise would be to get the one that has its service history intact, whose owner cared for it. It really helps if you personally know the owner and know that he takes good care of the bike. If the owner took care of the bike, all three of your shortlisted bikes will serve you without problem, else even the most expensive or the most reliable will just give you trouble and headache.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

        1. For the sake of cheaper spares and servicing,
        P150 > Gixxer SF > FZ V2
        2. For easy and reduced stress of air resistance, Gixxer SF(it has fairing which helps in reducing resistance by air flow).
        3. For smoothness and overall constant performance, FZ V2 > Gixxer SF > P150
        4. Fuel efficiency - P150 > Gixxer SF and FZ V2 should be almost same.

There are lots of factors that determine how the bike has been used/abused. Take a test ride of them all and see what suits the requirements.
