Go for ZMA or wait for the RTR180 and buy it. Considering how RTR160 easily beats a P180, I think RTR180 beating a P200 shouldn't be a problem

BTW, what kind of riding do you mostly do?

Both are very good choices.Apache 180 is just round the corner so is the new Pulsar series(If anything to go by the ads that are aired these days).Test ride and then decide.

^^I don't believe in anything till I see the real product.

And to be very frank I myself is waiting for that White coloured 180.You never know I may end up buying that one.I'm very much impressed with the product.

Wait for the new 200's and 220's and also the Apache 180. Take a test ride and decide among these.

If u are for the tourer types, go for the Zma.
When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

MG and secrecy go hand-in-hand KP. BTW MG, u had a 220 and ZMA, now a A180??!!! Anyways, lets not OT powerstroke's thread.

@Powerstroke: Dude if ur hell bent on getting a well-maintained Yezdi, go ahead and get it by all means. Nothing gives u the pleasure of that bike(and along-with it hassles as well). U will not be satisfied with any other bike if ur heart is fixed on it.

If ur ok with new bikes, the 220 is good. Quite a stable product. The 200 is a cheaper version of the 220. A ZMA does not make much sense now with the 220 becoming stable and a new upgrade on the cards. And am sure the upgrades will turn a new leaf. The RTR180 is totally a different league compared to the 220/ZMA. Right from the seating position to the revvy engine its track focussed. So take proper test rides, play with the options and decide.

                    Zma

@vid_powerstroke : I personally wouldn't advice you to wait for new bike/s and anticipate that it would be 'great'/'better' etc etc. Better go for Zma. I think it fits your requirements and budget comfortably.

@ shadowfax: I am very much open to ZMA...... but my dad says even though the bike is tried and tested, its 6 years old... or so...... he says he'l get me a good one that wont get outdated for another 6 six years... i understand my dear dads thots but its not possible for a bike to stay outdated for 6 years LONG.. i like the overall appeal of the zma but not much into it... i feel its engine lacks something ....tried the zma for two months... rode my friends very well maintained ZMa.....

@ nithanth: I am not worried abt any bike beating the other one performance wise or anything.... :-) hehe.... well they say Apache is very well balanced off and on track... i do mostly city riding and end up going on long drives on the weekends..... for maybe 200 kms at a stretch or more....

@ MG Biker1806 : well the apache doesnt please me much when it comes to the presence on the road..... ITS PRESENCE ON THE ROAD( Physical) that is...BUT should see the 180.coz options are open u see :-).... the new pulsar series are a bit mix of everything in that sense...

@ HydBiker : well at this time my dads thinking really hard before investing into something... I kinda am doing my fair share of the homework too....

@Aparajith : thank u brother.. will definitely test drive the bikes on my list...Its just a matter of time till the rtr 180 gets launched.. i surely will take ur advice.... bu the way Im kinda new here... wat does MG and KP stand for...?? :-)hehe

@insanebiker : the new 200 is quite impressive after its hands and limbs are taken from its bigger cousin... I am not much of the tourer types.. or would have got a cruiser or definitely a zma... can u pls throw some light on the new 220........ ? if it is scheduled or rumoured to be out....

@ vipin s : i sincerely take ur advice.... i feel that getting a bike and loving it is better than staying without one and cribbing abt wat to like..... ur right...... surely the zma suits my budget but i don find the flare in the bike anymore even though its realli good.... its really hard to choose from what i have now.... hope everything turns the way it is supposed to /.......

I can say one thing. You can be sure that HH is not gonna upgrade the Karizma any sooner. It is selling like hot cakes and is selling in more numbers now than may be it ever did. May be it is 6 years old but it might not get a serious upgrade for another 6 years. It won't be out dated. You will still get good resale value as it won't get outdated Kudos to HH.

@vid_powerstroke-Please use the multi-quote option next time round.I've merged all your posts. Btw MG is me and KP is Hydbiker.

@aparajith-Definitely not 3 of them.If one is coming then one has to go.

Much more practical buy than the age old series of ZMA....

But wait, new p220 and apache 180 are coming......

so make an informed decision, when they are launched....!
