It's based on what your preferences and expectations are...
If you are a tourer go for sport tourers or naked sports which you can drive with ease for long rides(more than 500 in a day).the following are sport tourers available with your budget with a difference of 1 to 2 lakhs.
1. KTM 390 :best in this class for the worth of money. Premium features and a beast in its own way. The power delivery is amazing and sometimes scary too(especially while driving in traffic).
2. Benelli tnt 300: the price is on a bit expensive side (4.5 lakhs on road in bangalore). But worth every penny. Benelli is always a pioneer in sound engineering of bikes. The sound and the feel is amazing and definitely gets spectators wherever you go. The power delivery is gradual and you can drive even in 40s with ease due to its high rev range and twin cylinder. But the power delivery increases in top gear and after 6k rpm which increases till u redline the meter ;-).
If you plan for benelli wait for couple of months for the new 302 which comes with drl and tft displays
If you are a short ride guy you can go for super bike or sport bikes. I suggest this because you will get back pain issues in the long run if you use this for long rides.
1.R3 : you can always believe in yamaha. No comments needed :-).
2. Rr310 : look and feel is very good but it's a single Cylinder engine. You will soon see this a lot on roads. I have driven it on high ways it's absolutely worth the money. It purrs like a kitten all the way
3.RC390: As always KTM offers the best in class feature for the money which you'll never get in any bikes in the same budget category.
2. Kawasaki ninja 300: this one is a traditional sport bike with twin cylinder. Its heavier but beats other three in the list by handling, pricing and comfort.
