A city bike for Bangalore city.
I am shifting to Bangalore in a week and my job requires me to travel a lot. And I definitely need a motorcycle. Probably my stay would also be about 10-12 kms away from my workplace. I need a near perfect motorcycle that strikes the right balance between a city commuter and my occasional rides back home to kochi (~500 kms). Mileage is a concern too as I would be commuting to places a lot (for work and otherwise). Help me out guys! I haven't shortlisted any motorcycle whatsoever so far, so I'm widely open to any kind of motorcycles, except traditional city commuters.Last edited by xBhp; 11-05-2018, 02:28 PM.Cheerio!

There are many bikes available and can be classified into several categories !!Originally posted by not_a_hoonigan View PostI am shifting to Bangalore in a week and my job requires me to travel a lot. Re: A city bike for Bangalore city.
Buy pulsar 150 classic, price is nearly equal to premium 125cc bikes, it's reliable, good mileage of 50+ kmpl, stress free engine for cruising in highway, comfortable seat + twin rear shock absorbers, good braking in same price segment .Originally posted by not_a_hoonigan View PostI am shifting to Bangalore in a week and my job requires me to travel a lot. Re: A city bike for Bangalore city.
FZ 25
That strong bottom end means you'll always enjoy quick overtakes, be it city or highway. Seating is upright, the engine is smooth till 100 kmph, and gives good mileage for a 250cc mill.
Best of both worlds if you ask me.

Re: A city bike for Bangalore city.
Performance is not an issue at all, cuz there's a traffic signal every 200mts. I feel dead inside when I'm riding in the traffic there. Just something that gets me quick off the line, nothing impressive either. I was probably thinking of getting an rx100! How bad is the mileage though?Cheerio!

For city use, I have to say scooters make sense. Test ride Activa 125 in city traffic. Bikes make your forearm ache, if you are talking bout that kind of too go traffic.Originally posted by not_a_hoonigan View PostPerformance is not an issue at all, cuz there's a traffic signal every 200mts. Re: A city bike for Bangalore city.
I'm sure I'll be fine with a motorcycle. I can't ride scooters, the cramped handlebars make me lose my balance everytime I try to take a turn. Probably because I don't ride scooters often or maybe because I've been using an aftermarket handlebar on my bike for more than 4 years.Cheerio!
