Bike vs Car? Though I have finalised Pulsar 180, but my family and colleague advice me to buy a car

    Bike vs Car? Though I have finalised Pulsar 180, but my family and colleague advice me to buy a car

    This will be be my second bike. I am 32 years of age. I am more inclined towards a car but in a city like Delhi (where I live), its a pain to drive a car and parking is always an issue. Bike is very nimble but a little unsafe.

    In all probability, I will buy a Pulsar 180. I will keep it for minimum 5 years, but again, in these five years, I will not surely buy any new car along with the bike as its costly to maintain a car (EMI + fuel).

    So please guide me. Which one would be a wiser decision for me, bike or a car? (keeping traffic, viability and cost factor in mind)

      please reply as i think car is less handy than bike,parking car in traffic is a pain

      parking car is a pain by itself,though car appears more safer than bike,but bike is more handy and cheaper

        Normally I'd say you already have a functional bike you should get a car. But, then there's the fact that do you have e Pugh parking space for that? Having lived in Delhi, I know people park their cars half a km away from their homes/on road & footpaths/in parking space of market or malls. So that's also a factor for deciding what to get.

          If you have a safe parking spot, your family deserves a car & you can use your current bike for commute. Besides, unlike smaller cities, Delhi/NCR has CNG pumps. So your car trips are gonna be cheaper too.

            Good decision, but safety is a main concern .If you're ready to spend much bucks on riding gears (highly recommended),just buy the good quality stuff.

            Atleast a helmet,gloves, shoes of high standard with jacket (possibly) are must to have .As nowadays squids on 2-wheels are more .(Not offending anyone)


            PS: ABS bikes are best buy as our country deserves it .
