• Touring mod for pulsar 220.

I had been planning on buying a bike for about 4 months and had almost bought the RTR 160 4V when I got a job in Bangalore and relocated. Now that all's stable again and my budget has expanded a little, I restarted my hunt for motorcycles recently and realized the cruel road tax in Karnataka ruled out lots from my list. I was going through an article today and saw a 220F which had been customized by Sahyadri Moto for touring and believe me it looked sexy! I looked around on the xBhp forum and couldn't find any relevant posts to this, which is why I'm posting. I'd be grateful if fellow xBhpians could help me out with a few questions.

1. Can I get these mods done from a reliable custom shop in Bangalore without eating through all my money? If so, where?

2. Will these mods void my motorcycle warranty if I get them as soon as I buy the bike?

3. Also recommend necessary mods according to my usage which is described below.

My ride would mostly include city commuting through intense traffic on a daily basis (I'm not a rough rider so I don't mind waiting behind a car rather than squeezing through those little gaps). Mods are for when I go back home once in a month or two to Cochin. I came to Bangalore on my Kawasaki Bajaj Boxer and believe me maintaining 60 all the way is boring, so is stopping every hour for the bike to catch it's breath. Not that it started behaving bad but I didn't wanna take the risk. I've also done Cochin to Chennai and Cochin to Coimbatore, but those too were boring with the steady pace of 60.

Cheers,
Vishnu

Bro, I'd request you to share the pic that you saw of the mods. For P220 touring mods, ashwinprakas is the one you should definitely ask, but last time I checked, he had some issues logging onto xBhp.

Some basic mods that you would need to do would be - handlebar mod(to change from clip ons to a normal handlebar), then using P180 rear view mirrors, P180 sprockets to increase pickup. Apart from this, you could go for crash bars, saddle bag holders etc.

I got these off the internet. Something about these mods really pulls me in. I've always wanted to own something like the multistrada but then, I guess I'll have to wait more[emoji12] Click image for larger version

Hi,

The shyadri motors has shut it shop no more customer service. So now i am on my own.

The guy who did mod came from Indonesia & went back after few months.

the mod has totaly change the look of my P220. now its one of the rare & unique & off course head turner.

Have a look & PM me if you need more detail.

What tyres are you using?

And since you mounted engine protection plate, you must have increased the suspension height. Could you tell us about that.

Thanks for your reply bro, could you share how the height was increased? I understand people use P135 shocks at rear but that also means one can't use center stand.

In front shock absorbers height increased so in rear. Center stand raised
