  • Daily commuter and a tourer in the range of 2-3 lakhs

    Hi everyone,

I ride a Pulsar 180 2015 model currently and I have covered around 25000km both on daily commute and highway rides of 400-500kms. I am slim guy of age 27 and height 6 ft. I will be using the bike in the city of Bangalore and also for long highway trips to Kerala, which is a 600 km ride.

    Requirements are as follows:

    1. Budget in the range of 2 lakhs to 3 lakhs. I can extend the budget marginally if the bike is worth it.
    2. Should be a powerful machine with more than 300cc, so that I can cruise at better speeds in highway of atleast 100 kmph.
    3. It should be comfortable for both the rider and the pillion.
    4. I would prefer naked bikes.

The only preference that I have currently is that of Dominar 2019 model.

I am looking out for other options.

Interceptor 650 should be a good choice as well.

For the budget, you could go with Duke/RC 390, Apache 310, BMW G 310 twins. You should text ride those options. RE 650 twins are new, hence wait a year before buying that, to let the design mature and most problems with the bike will be fixed.

Presently RE 650 is the best option out there, or wait for some new launches

I did the test drive of dominar 400, bmw g 310r and interceptor 650. But I liked the bmw the most though dominar was also great. I did not like interceptor because of the riding posture and too much of vibrations.

But I have a query, is it worth to buy a bmw g 310r over dominar 400 spending an extra 1-1.2 lakhs.?

              Regards,
