If it were up to me , I'd say get a car for the family and bike for you. Riding with wife and kids are just too risky these days , be it the city or highway. Bikes are for maximum 2 persons . This is just my personal point of view . Back to the topic , FZ v3 has a single seat . Try test riding it , apache 160 has good reviews too.

If talked about pillion comfort, there aren't many in the segment we're talking about, epe from the Japanese.
There was the old dad Unicorn. I'd suggest not to go by brands and go by models and features. Properly cared, any bike will serve you better. Parts availability with Bajaj, Hero and Tvs bikes are much better than Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha, which should be considered.
Following your requirements I'd suggest you Pulsar 180. Breaks are capable and safe although not abs.
