New member and really happy to be here. I'm looking for a new bike and need some help from you guys.
Little about myself, I'm a new rider from Rajasthan, I've been riding my Pulsar 135 for more than a year now, and never ridden any other bike ever (so not very skilled). My height is 5'11" and I'm pretty skinny physique-wise. Recently after a job change my commute of 18km highway has been added with 12km of city riding and the slightly leaned stance and the hard seat and suspension of Pulsar are not helping at all, also the little bike has been serving us for 6 years now(my brother used it for first 5 years) so I can't think of going longer distances on it. Adding all these factors, I think it is the time to upgrade.
These are some strong points I've learned not to ignore in my 1 year:
> Suspension should be soft. Crazy pot holes and speed breakers take all the hate I have for roads here.
> Leaning on handle bars is a big no no. I get all the feedback to my arms and shoulders if missed a pot hole or patch.
> A hard seat is a curse to my skeletal body.
> Balancing the bike on low speeds with a heavy(>80kg) pillion onboard is a real task for me (I don't know what in bike can help me with this)
> Good ground clearance would help since there's no guarantee of finding roads everywhere
I have shortlisted bikes based on my little knowledge from internet and 0 experience with them, so help me if I've got the priorities wrong or if I can get something better.
1. Himalayan
+ Longer suspension (expecting goodbye to pothole woes)
+ Upright stance
+ Good seat
+ Ground Clearance
+ Only RE (along with GT) which looks nice to me
- Heavy? (It already 60kg heavier than my current bike, will that be an issue for a skinny dude?)
- Ownership thread of this bike (It scared the hell outta me, I'm no expert when it come to mechanics, if something goes wrong with my bike, a mechanic is the only option)
2. Xpulse
+ Longer suspension (expecting goodbye to pothole woes)
+ Upright stance
+ Good seat
+ Lightweight
+ Ground Clearance
- Does not exist
3. CB300R
+ Honda Engine
+ Upright stance
+ Light weight
- Not sure about seat and suspension
4. CBR250R
+ The dream bike of me as a college student (but I think I can keep my sentiments aside for my comfort)
+ Honda Engine
+ Wind protection
- Leaned stance?
- Not sure about suspension
I hope everything made sense, please help me which one should I go for.
Thank you for reading, and Thank you in advance for your advice.
