  • Replacing Pulsar 220F

My current ride(220 F) had served me well for the past 9 years with very little niggles and got me through 2 big crashes(1 with front alloy cracked, fairing smashed, etc). For the better half of last year, I have used RE 350 Classic and clocked the first 10,000 on the vehicle and didn't like much because of the regular RE issues(replaced Chain Sprocket twice within 10k mileage, vibration, poor braking, etc).

I am 5'11 and 69kg, My budget is around 1.7 Lakhs and looking for a city commuter with good pillion seat comfort(for the wife and 1-year-old kid), My daily office commute is around 30KM(15KM *2) on routes which are under frequent construction and bumper to bumper traffic. I am considering Dominar for now(for its power, good mileage for its class, comparatively good pillion seat).

I am used to 35KMPL mileage in both 220F and RE350, It will be better if the new one has similar mileage. Kindly let me know if there are other vehicles which suit me, Also would like to know about current on road price, pros/cons of Dominar.

Don't travel with little ones in high performance bikes, dominar has a strong pull in lower gears, buy a car for the safety of your kid!

How about the Mojo from Mahindra?

Or the Jawa and UM bikes if you are open to consider the cruiser style.

Mojo is overpriced, jawa is not present in everywhere, UM bikes are Chinese, better to stick with 2019 dominar with 39ps of power .

Yeah no doubt dominar is very dominating. But how could be the runner up?

I am not sure about retro looks of JAWA. Never considered MOJO till now, will check it. I saw few pillion backrest for dominar, will that be any use for pillion rider? Any users here?

Runner up is definitely mojo xt 300, it has features of a tourer, can be used as a naked in the streets, no history of engine related issues, it's a robust product. But, it's always shadowed by the domi, but mojo is actually a very good bike.

I've ridden dominar and pillion tends to go backwards due to it's torque delivery, backrest will definitely provide confidence to the pillion rider while accelerating during overtakes, it's a necessary thing for a power cruiser.
