  • Best bike for pillion comfort, riding stance and budget 2.5L

    Hi,

I am upgrading from first gen Pulsar 200 and am intending to buy one of the following bikes in the coming month and need your advice especially on the following points:

    Pillion comfort
Riding stance (not too aggressive like the RC390)
Parts availability and after sales service

I intend to keep the bike for around 7-8 years.
    Budget: Ideally around 2-2.5L.
    Usage: 80% city.
Preference is for a fully faired bike for the sole reason I had a naked one for 11 years and want to try out offerings from other manufacturers as well.

    for the following:

    1. BMW G310R - Have TD'ed it and my wife loved the pillion seat. Loved the riding posture too and the 1 year service interval sounds enticing. Currently the top favourite but it's over the budget

    2. Apache RR310 - Struggling to get a bike to TD (hopefully will get one over the weekend)

    3. Yamaha R15 v3 - Have TD'ed it. While the seat cushioning was comfortable, it was not too comfortable for me since the pillion load transferred to my wrists and thighs everytime I braked or slowed down. I think it's best enjoyed single. But I felt the power delivery to be a little soft compared to my P200 or the Dominar

    4. CBR250R - Not sure whether I should put in ~2.5L for this ageing but time tested and comfortable machine. As usual, struggling to get a TD to let the pillion experience the comfort but my friends have vouched for it

    5. Ninja 300 - Will TD it hopefully over the weekend but again price is a factor and also the fact that it's withdrawn from global markets (not sure how that will impact it's after sales service for the next 6-7 years. Have heard that the spare parts have become more affordable so that's another plus point

    6. Benelli TNT 300 - The only reason it's on the list is because of the exhaust note :P Its over the budget and I am sure it will need a good amount of maintenance. Also not sure of the after sales service

    7. Dominar 2019 - My brother in law has the older version and I have no complaints with it but I want to experience a fully faired bike after having a naked for 11 years and also want to try another brand. Wife is also sold on the pillion comfort

Apologies if I have made passed any naive comments on the bikes - respect all bikes!

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Cheers,
    Ajay

If you want fully faired bike that is comfortable and has best seat for pillion then you only got 2 options.

      1) Honda CBR250R ABS
      2) Yamaha Fazer 25 ABS

Take a test ride of both these machines with pillion.

      2008 Yamaha R15 V1.0 [SOLD]
