  • Looking to buy a Classic Retro Bike

    Hi All,

I am looking buy a Retro Style bike for my Daily Commute in the City as well as Week end travel to by Home.

    1. Budget - upto 3 Lakhs
    2. Age - I am 33 Years Old now.
    3. Height - 5.10 ft
    4. Weight - 70 Kg.
    5. Intended Usage - In a week - Office commute - 10-20 Km per day in city, 300 Km on the Highway(weekend ride to home). When I say Highway, its not like the typical 4 lane or 6 lane Highways. Its a narrow highways with better road (If you have been to Kerala, you might have noticed).
    6. Fuel Efficiency - Not very much bothered, may be around 30-40, comfort is the primary condition.
    7. State - Calicut, Kerala.
    8. Brand/ Bike Preference - I have shortlisted few bikes that I have test ridden and found to be good - the Jawa - Jawa, RE Interceptor 650, Thunderbird 350/500.

My Heart says - go for the Interceptor 650 its a once in a life time case and this is it. But my mind says - you don't have much use for the interceptor as per the daily routine so go for the Jawa - Jawa or Thunderbird.

I am totally confused. If some one can help me out with some solid Advice I would be very Great-full.

    Regards,

    Krishnadas

Wonder if you've given a thought to Honda CB 300?

Thanks Sunil for the suggestion. Option was thought about but only one Show Room in Kerala for the Honda Super bikes and one Service Center in Kerala, which is in Cochin - 200 Km from home.

Good choice, finally RE has a bike which doesn't shakes like a catfish. I don't like old REs, but Himalayan and the twins are step to a new direction. Do share your views about Int650 once you receive it.
