  • Cheapest way to 200km/hr

Just curious as to what is going to be the cheapest way to get to 200 km/hr?
I've been away from the motorcycing scene for a while now. Unaware of new launches. (You can say growing old)
I might have some disposable income towards the end of the year, and my (cursed) AS200 is not really giving me any love, so, maybe its time to take a divorce.

Is a used Ninja 650 still the way to go? Or a used TNT600i?

My 1st Bike was a CT100, which was comfortable upto 75 km/hr. My current AS200 is good enough for upto 135 km/hr. The next logical progression is 190-200 km/hr.

I would have considered a used RC390, but then, I'm unsure if thats a big enough a leap.

How do you plan to achieve 200 kmph on Indian Roads? Yeah if you wanna spend happy weekends at BIC, then I understand it would be ideal. BTW nice quote on your profile.

Please note that doing 200kmph on Indian roads is very risky.
Its not that people dont clock that much, but you really need to be very careful about when and where you clock such speed.
RC390 runs out of breath around 176kmph, so dont consider that.
N650 will take you to 200kmph, however post 190kmph, you would feel the bike takes sometime to build speed.
I am not sure what is your budget, but whatever you buy, ensure that it has ABS.
If you budget allows. you can check out used CBR 650F, Triumph Daytona 675, Z800/Z900 or N1000. These should come in the range of 5.5-9lacs and should easily take you north of 200kmph.

Ninja650 is a better choice IMO. Its quite practical, Usable on everyday basis, fairly reliable, many clean specimens available on used market. Plus it will feel stable and secure at those speeds as well.

Buy a cheap domestic flight ticket and take the window seat. Enjoy over 500 kmph with ease...

On a serious note I would say either RC390 (if you can live with the small niggles) or N300/R3. Good trade off for 200 kmph though the latter ones come quite close to it.

from your options it is N650. go for used. make sure of abs.

Cheapest way should be a used Hyosung GT650N (or GT650R)

But if you're genuinely interested in buying (and not just curious ). I believe used Ninja 650 will be a better bet.

There is no destination, I just want to keep riding.
