  • Dominar or royal Enfield continental gt 650

Well my pulsar 180 ug4 has been serving me faithfully for the last 9 years, i love the bike, haven't given me any troubles over the years, i do most of the repairs and maintenance myself so easy to maintain, revvs freely but the rear brakes are horrible and recently some part rattles when the bike is moving and it has been driving me crazy, i haven't been able to find the source of this noise.
Moreover i find the power of the bike inadequate, i like to revv my bike whenever i find an open stretch. And i want a bike with with dual channel ABS as recently the front wheel locked while i was on a flyover and i had an accident, minor one luckily.
Ever since the 2019 dominar launched i had it in mind, more than enough power, dual channel ABS, many other features and affordable. But till now it has been not been launched in jaipur, so i am getting frustrated.
Somehow i came across the royal enfield GT twins on youtube and the reviews were good! Never have i ever heard the words like "very few vibrations", "revv happy engine", "excellent build quality" in a RE bike review. So decided to give it a try. Very next day i went to the showroom, i really liked the bike, sat on the gt and i liked the aggressive riding posture, kind of like my 180. The bike was heavy but in a good way, solidly built, a bike which I could pass onto my future generations. Unfortunately the test drive bikes needed some repairs and I wasn't able to get a td.
Next day i called another dealership and they sent the bike over to my place, after some paperwork i was given the key! The bike is a hoot to ride, it was going till red line without a fuss, i loved everything about the bike, the classic retro looks, the acceleration, the phenomenal braking etc. The only issue i felt was that the rear view mirrors weren't giving me proper view and the engine felt very hot between my thighs but it was 45° that day in jaipur! And i was going crazy on the bike.
My budget is 3 lacks, i want a revv happy bike, no full fairing, easy to maintain as i Iike to maintain my bike myself. What do you guys suggest? I want to test drive dominar but it's launching date is uncertain in jaipur. Any other suggest is welcome
    Peace

You can fit it as an accessory, i think.

Hands down and no questions asked - RE it should be at this budget.
RE is accessible to you since you already got the rest ride and Dominar isn't available yet.
The other option could be TVS Apache 310RR or Honda CB300R.
You can try to find a preowned Yamaha R3 or Ninja 300(if Kawasaki is close by).
Dominar is essentially a KTM inside since the heart is same.
Suzuki has come up with SF250 so you can give it a try to see if you can use the bike to its fullest or be stagnant with the power because you may not be able to wring open the throttle all the the time.
                Regards,
                Akash Yadav

The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place. It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
