  • Looking for a new ride

    Budget: 3 lacs +-30k
    Age: 25
    Weight: 65 kgs
    Height: 5'7
    Usage: Commuter
    Mileage: 600 kms every month
    Fuel consumption: Doesn't matter
Usage: City usage, small rides sometimes

I have a 9 year old Pulsar 180 UG4 but I find her power inadequate nowadays and I want a bike with dual channel ABS, as recently I had a small accident because the front wheel locked up.

I have Dominar and Continental GT 650 in mind. Dominar is not available for test drive in Jaipur so don't know how she performs, but the reviews are excellent. And i have a soft spot for Bajaj.

I have taken the td of Continental GT 650 and loved every bit of it. The acceleration was amazing, the brakes were phenomenal and the engine was revving till red line! Moreover the bike was solid and had a feeling that it could outlive me.

I like bikes with little bit of aggressive riding stance as I am not comfortable with upright riding position. I want a bike with more power and revv happy engine.

Please help me with your opinions.

I haven't ridden both ones, but I have ridden the old dominar. I feel like Conti is the way to go bro, If you don't mind the extra money.

But it has vibrations and small tank range+ really stiff suspension.

I think you should go for Continental GT 650 considering your budget and requirements. GT would be more sportier to ride and has loads of power to keep you happy in long run.

Also test ride the new Duke 390, in terms of performance and equipment on offer it also fits your bill. It's sporty and powerful to keep you happy.

Dominar although good in its own right considering the price, it may not be in same league as GT & D390

I went there and the only bikes they had were already booked and ready to be delivered. Moreover they said they give test drives on new bikes and hence it would be of few hundred meters only and not a thorough one. On the other hand RE people sent the bike over to my place to told me to go alone with the bike and ride for however long i wanted.
                              Peace
