  • plz help me out in choosing Fz 16

Guys first of all thanks to xbhp for all obvious reasons.

guys i am 5'10 inches tall and 64 kgs .and thin

i am going to have my first bike in my life.

1)since i am not that of good personality can i opt for FZ 16 as this is heavily built one.?

    2) i do not have much exposure to riding in city traffic with helmets is this the bike good in handling and controlling?

PS: Cost and mileage is not a concern

so guys please let me know can i go for Fz , if not i will be left out with only one option RTR

      Dude, I'm 6' 1" and I found the FZ fairly comfortable ...

Handling is very good, and I found myself capable of leaning it on corners, at 55 kmph, with a pillion.... It was no bother at all.

Braking/ Grip/ Handling was WAY AHEAD of my P180.

      My only 2 concerns were:-->

      1. Digital Tachometer "felt" less responsive to me ... it updated everyone second or so abruptly ...

      2. It felt strong at bottom BUT on the Jaipur Road highway, it felt noisy and undergeared after 60 kmph ... But, it was near max torque spot so was responsive too ..

I recommend the FZ to you, unless touring/ highway riding is your everyday's affair.

Occasional Tour would be just fine with FZ ...

I guess as per the description and no other requirements, there is no problem at all in you buying a FZ. That will be a good bike for you as a starter as it is one of the best handler and best bike for city riding.

Contrary to what the bike shows...
Its less than 130kgs......(i guess 126kgs) much lesser than the current 150ccs...along with one of the best (and low) riding postures....

If weight is the only criteria hindering you from buying the bike.....its not true as i already pointed out....

Talking about looking good....is a personal view...

Considering your built, you would look good on any bike in india...apart from the enfields (which is the case with most of us..)

Yes....if you have other priorities, than its discussable....
