  • Moving to Super bike: Planning for Pre Owned Ones

    Hello All,

I have been planning to switch to a 650cc bike for quite sometime now. Finally I have decided to go for it and planning to get one by 2019 end.

A few things about me and my requirements:
    1. Riding a RE classic 350 for the last 7 years.
    2. Budget: 5 lakhs ( can extend to 6 based on bike quality )
    3. Bikes on my mind: Ninja 650, CBR 650 Suzuki GSX-S750 ( wont mind if i get a good deal for Ninja 1000 )
    4. Do let me know about the service costs of the above if you own it or have ideas about.
    5. Looking for 2016-2019 Manufactured bikes.
    6. Any trustworthy dealer with pre-owned bikes.
    7. Up for any suggestions. Feel free to suggest

Hopefully will fulfill this dream by year end.
    Fingers crossed.

Ninja 650. Seen some ownership thread. He mentioned best regular service parts alternatives.so maintenance is on pocket friendly.
Performance, handling and all other things u might be aware of it when it has a badge of Kawasaki.

        No point man, no point.

I already tried that. No one wants to sell these bikes cheap, even if they never are able to sell it. You instead can invest in around 1L more and get a brand new one.

        Some considerations --

High powered naked bikes are useless since they don't shred wind blast which's not tolerable at speeds the bikes are capable of.
Ninja 1000 and similar superbikes need RON 95 fuel which costs Rs 20 more per L and their availability is sparse.
High powered bikes make sense only when you're running them at speeds and acceleration which low powered bikes stress out at for long periods on end. Otherwise they're just gulping fuel.
High compression ratio bikes (>11.5) produce extreme heat apart from needing RON 95 fuel. City traffic will be a major issue.
