    Please suggest, can I buy this used CBR 250R ABS?

    Hi All,

    I have been using CBZ Extreme and it is 13 years old. Now I want to upgrade to 250cc Motorcycle. I can't go for new one because it seems out of my budget. So started searching for used bikes and coincidentally one of my friends friend is selling his CBR 250R ABS at 1.6 Lakhs.

    Model: CBR 250R ABS
    Year: 2016
    Kms: 9000

    Can you guys please suggest, whether can I go for this bike at this price point.

      Price is very high for a 2016 bike and 9000kms on the odo.
      Should not be more than 1.2-1.3 lacs provided the bike is in pristine condition and does not need any serious work.
      For around 1.8-2.0 you can easily get the non-abs Ninja 300 which is way better than the CBR 250R.

        Hi hellgate, thanks for your suggestion. I think I have to let it go, he is not coming below 1.6. Yeah Ninja 300 is a superb bike, but servicing will pinch my pocket I guess.

          If you can work on your own bike, then servicing should not be such a pain from a price point.
          General servicing will include oil and oil filter change and air filter clean/replace.
          Along with this, periodic chain maintenance.

              Will enquire in the groups as well once I get your location.
              Also do keep in mind that you might be able to get a N650 (2016 and below models) or ER6N around the 2.5-2.75lac mark. 2017 N650 and up will set you back by min 4.5lac.

                  If you had posted this a couple of months earlier, you could have got my R3.
                  Please check on OLX, there is a 2013 N650 posted for 2.4 lacs.
                  There are multiple bikes for sale in Olx. Talk to the owners and check the bike.

                    I am working as a faculty in one of the college, so according to my salary I have chosen CBR 250R.

                    So, if you come across any good condition CBR 250R ABS kindly let me know.

                      It would be really difficult to get a CBR 250R in good condition these days as the sales figure for the bike are not good. Hence most of the bikes you would get would be pretty old.
