  • Is Hero Impulse still relevant?

    Hello everyone!

This is Shreyas Chaphekar here from Indore. I've recently begun dirt riding and hence am looking to get myself a proper machine. Now budget wise, I can either get myself a used Hero Impulse and then mod it up for the purpose, or I can go for the finance option and get myself the all new Xpulse 200.
My only confusion is that, is the Impulse still relevant in today's scenario or I should just go for the Xpulse?

Thanks in advance! Have a nice day!

I haven't riden impulse as it is not availbale where I live (Nepal). But I can definitely tell you aka ms remoteconnect about Hero Xpulse, as you're searching for the budgeted dirt type bike, xpulse is the way to go. I've ridden it few times. Its not as good as other dirt bikes as it is comparitabley cheap that those. So you go for it.

The Impulse is quite capable machine, if you can get your hands on a well maintained one for < 40k go for it as the Xpulse will cost quite a bit being a new model. There is not too much difference between the two, the Xpulse has slightly more power and ABS.

I think basic difference between impulse and xpulse is that xpulse is hardly sprung while impulse is pretty soft. I would personally favor a impulse over xpulse if both are new. But since u r talking about a preowned one i guess xpulse will be a better choice unless u get a real good deal on impulse .

So far what I have heard in my circuit is that the impulse is a better cheaper offroader than the current xpluse, easier to repair cheaper parts = you can take more daring steps and wont be sidelined in case of heavy damage. + the impulse is carbed, you can go crazy on the tuning on the fly.
