      Describe your need and preferences
      Naked or faired or cruiser?
      City ride or highway ride?
      Normal road conditions?
So that we get a general idea
You budget is good, many good bikes come in this range

I'd suggest you to take the assistance of the following template by filling it up and posting again. This will narrow down your options and members will be better placed to assiist you.

        1. Budget - 2 -2.5L INR.
        2. Age
        3. Height
        4. Weight
        5. Intended usage (eg. Office/College commute, Highway runs, Racetrack usage, Weekend recreation riding etc.)
        6. Fuel Efficiency requirement (approx., if any)
        7. City & Highway percentage usage
        8. Approximate Daily / Monthly running
        9. City / Town /Village of residence (so we can evaluate road conditions / traffic / terrain / altitude / OTR pricing)
        10. Brand / Bike type preference (if any)
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Gixxer SF 250, dominar 400 , TVS Apache 200, Duke 250/200 , an outside option is the CBR which is outdated but is still reliable as ever.

Exactly, why even height or weight or usage pattern. We can just make a new app bike roulette, whichever bike is randomly selected will be best. It'll spice things up a bit.

I suggested you to use this template because this particular template had been designed by one of the xBhp moderators(with more knowledge about bikes than an average Joe) 6-7 years ago and has assisted several thousand bikers on the lookout for a bike! If you go through a few hundred posts in 'What Bike' section, you'll find it for yourself. Now, whether to fill it or not is entirely up to the person starting the thread.
Age has certainly a big role in selecting a bike. A person in his 40s or 50s would surely need a different bike than a person in his 20s or early 30s with almost the same requirement. Age has a major say in body posture, endurance, physical condition. This template will help others to pitch in with narrowed down choices - often from their own experiences.
I'm sure you'll be able to get the inputs you require from the forum members here! Happy hunting!

Firstly, thank you for opening a civilized dialogue rather than bashing your keyboard out of shape and no, I didn't open the thread for myself. I just hopped on since I am gathering info for my next bike.

While, I do see your point, I feel age is the only relative criteria among a list of very, very objective requirements. That was all I was pointing at. There is nothing wrong with the template.
