Yamaha Saluto could be a good bike but I still recommend Hind Shine/SP as it sells in big numbers so part availability is better.

Re: Which 125cc Bike for city commute?
Yamaha doesn't have a good after-sales service record in Thane- where I stay. So I think I'll pass on that.Originally posted by Zapps View PostYamaha Saluto could be a good bike but I still recommend Hind Shine/SP as it sells in big numbers so part availability is better.

Bro without hesitating go for honda shine,as it will be better bike for you,if looks doesnt matter much, you will be getting good mileage, engine is good.on the other hand if u like the looks of pulsar then you may opt for it,but mileage wont be that good.
Rest take test drive of these bikes and then only take a call.Originally posted by Knightmare89 View PostYamaha doesn't have a good after-sales service record in Thane- where I stay. So I think I'll pass on that.

Thanks, then I guess if I want a bit of looks plus a good reliable engine then SP 125 doesn't seem like a bad choice?Originally posted by sagarzzz View PostBro without hesitating go for honda shine,as it will be better bike for you,if looks doesnt matter much, you will be getting good mileage, engine is good.on the other hand if u like the looks of pulsar then you may opt for it,but mileage wont be that good.

No bro,it certainly would be a good choice.you can go with it,but if you want bit more power then pulsar is the bike,it is most powerful bike apart from ktm 125.Originally posted by Knightmare89 View PostThanks, then I guess if I want a bit of looks plus a good reliable engine then SP 125 doesn't seem like a bad choice?

Re: Which 125cc Bike for city commute?
You're completely right on that front my friend but my main use is intra-city commute wherein the speeds rarely exceed 60 km/hr so power difference wont really matter to me. My primary concern is suspension (because of my back issue).Originally posted by sagarzzz View PostNo bro,it certainly would be a good choice.you can go with it,but if you want bit more power then pulsar is the bike,it is most powerful bike apart from ktm 125.

Bro have test ridden honda 125 or pulsar125??if not then 1st of all take test ride of those bikes and see how u feel about suspension while driving.
If thier are no no test rides available take them on rent,or from any of your contacts who have themOriginally posted by Knightmare89 View PostYou're completely right on that front my friend but my main use is intra-city commute wherein the speeds rarely exceed 60 km/hr so power difference wont really matter to me. SP 125 is owned by 1 of my friends so I'll test ride it from him and Pulsar 125 is yet to be officially launched in BS6 version. If Neon blue is the only colour option they have like the BS4 version then I'm surely not considering that bike.Originally posted by sagarzzz View PostBro have test ridden honda 125 or pulsar125??if not then 1st of all take test ride of those bikes and see how u feel about suspension while driving.

Suspensions are not going to be diffrent from bs 4 version,so you can try p125 also.Originally posted by Knightmare89 View PostSP 125 is owned by 1 of my friends so I'll test ride it from him and Pulsar 125 is yet to be officially launched in BS6 version. Yeah go for Pulsar 125. It has better lighting, more power, comfortable seating, bigger and premium looks ,good mileage and low maintenance. Just go for it.Originally posted by sagarzzz View PostNo bro,it certainly would be a good choice.you can go with it,but if you want bit more power then pulsar is the bike,it is most powerful bike apart from ktm 125.

Re: Which 125cc Bike for city commute?
Bro, did you finally settle on any of these bikes (SP125 or P125) you were looking for? My search is also more/less like yours for intracity commute and so I am curious to know. If you have already purchased how is the experience?Originally posted by Knightmare89 View PostSP 125 is owned by 1 of my friends so I'll test ride it from him and Pulsar 125 is yet to be officially launched in BS6 version. No Bro....Due to some personal reasons my purchase got delayed and then COVID hit. I'm still a bit confused between SP 125, Pulsar 125 and Glamour 125. My only concern is my slipped disc.Originally posted by Achilles2205 View PostBro, did you finally settle on any of these bikes (SP125 or P125) you were looking for? Test ride all of those, but of you want light flickable fun with commuterish comfort, Shine/SP is the way to go. Do test ride before you decide. I had Honda shine for 10 years before upgrading to Pulsar 220.Originally posted by Knightmare89 View PostNo Bro....Due to some personal reasons my purchase got delayed and then COVID hit. Re: Which 125cc Bike for city commute?
Hey Zapps, How was your service experience for shine since you had used it for 10 years? What is the average cost you paid per service? How is the honda spare availability in terms of normal bike wear and tear because of a normal use.Originally posted by Zapps View PostTest ride all of those, but of you want light flickable fun with commuterish comfort, Shine/SP is the way to go. For example, my service experience in terms of bajaj is satisfactory and on an average I spend approx. 1500 - 2500 per service (depending on minor spare change). I would like to know how was your experience with Honda.
