Yes I heard the same about warranty. It is to discourage second hand sales I think.

What do folks here think of the new bs6 Apache 310rr. Seems promising.

Well the bikes a looker for sure, "panigale looks" , has good torque/power, shares the engine with BMW, has decent amount of electronic aids, the instrument cluster shows a lot of information, and the bs6 version has got more refined and added extra features, tvs spares/maintenance is cheaper as well.

But this is my opinion, when i bought my gt 650, i was confused as well, but the engine of Gt won me over, parallel twin, super refined and as they say, no replacement for displacement. I preferred the cafe racer look more than the fully fared, in case of a fall fairings break easily, more expensive to repair, but you have zero depp insurance to cover for that.

Bike is good no doubt, but it's upto you what you like, take test drives and see for yourself, here on a forum everyone will give his or her opinion, so don't go by our words.
      Peace

Re: Looking for 250+ cc (fun) bike.

But bikes with aggressive stance(ktm rc, gt 650, one of the Husqvarna) make it a little bit difficult to drive in traffic. On open roads you don't have much problem, but as soon as you hit traffic, your arms start hurting, even your neck and upper shoulders.
So take long test drives in traffic, take it on rent to feel the bikes, properly, if you want to tour some day you are better off with upright stance bikes, but there are some who tour on ktm rc as well
        Peace

Yeah, have a list of bikes I need to test drive to find the one. But most bikes aren't available for test drives. And corona has added to the delay. And as far as I could find, there are no proper rentals that rent out such bikes here in pune. Only pulsars and bullets

Why don't you try xbhp pune get together group, you can test drive group members bikes, i don't think anyone would mind.
So what are the final bikes which you shortlisted? Used gt 650, apache rr310 and Husqvarna, any other? What about dominar 400?
Now it's upto your personal preference, all of the bikes are good
            Peace
