  • Wanted to upgrade from Suzuki GS150R

    Hi all,

Currently I own a 2012 GS150R. Wanted to upgrade. Primarily looking at BS4 deals in Chennai.

    My needs are:

    1. Fuss free ownership in terms of maintenance
    2. Good build quality
    3. Good handling

Budget max 1.5L (considering the offer)

    Thanks

Also give the apache RTR 200 4v a shot. Tremendous value for money. Two of my friends bought them on my recommendation, one was a version 1 without slipper clutch in white another was a v2.0 in black red. Both with dual channel abs. Butter smooth , both guys have clocked 15k+ , flawless so far. They both get 40-45kmpl, good mileage for a powerful 200.
I saw a post on olx from the dealer themselves that they have existing stocks for sale going for a good discount .

The only thing is that 200 4v doesn't make a lot of power and it won't be a much powerful upgrade over the GS150r, but it's an excellent motorcycle, both in terms of riding dynamics and quality of components.

Actually it produces plenty enough to be fair. Bs4 apache has like 20.3HP and 18.2Nm. I actually prefer the bs4 more than the bs6 because of its headlight look (personal preference) and more powerful engine than the bs6 model. Besides it has slipper clutch aswell as xconnect console. It's the perfect upgrade for a person coming from a 150r which had around 13 bhp and 13nm torque. Quite a decent upgrade.
And yes you're right about the dynamics and quality of the components. Totally agree with that .
Plus spares won't be as expensive as yamaha [emoji1360]

Tvs products are wonderful lately. Gone are the days where the apaches were considered vibrators. They're butter smooth. The 160 is best in class . The 200 is perfect. Dual channel abs and loaded with tech
