Topic moved from News to What Bike! Section.
A lot depends upon what bikes you've ridden so far. In any case, if you've been riding Enfields over some time, there's no need to worry.
By the way, the least comfortable bikes for a rough road are the KTM's in my humble opinion. And still we manage.
Not much alternatives for RE 650 Twins (Interceptor & Continental GT), specially at its price range.
At best HD Street 750, BW G310R, etc.---
Brotherhood, Rules, Freedom. Xbhp.
Indian riding = Alertness, Anticipation and Adjustment.

Re: RE continental gt 650 for Ride ?
Hello Aranya, I just got my Conti GT and if you are considering it for longer rides, I would suggest you to go for the Interceptor because it has a better and more upright handlebar position along with more forward set pegs. If you have any other questions regarding the Conti GT, I would be happy to help.Originally posted by Aranya Dutta View PostRoyal enfield continental gt 650 for comfortable for Ride ? I really like the looks ,but quite not sure it will be okay if I consider this for ride .
Please suggest your opinions . Thanks.

Re: RE continental gt 650 for Ride ?
Hi. I have been riding Interceptor 650 since Nov 18. Have ridden it over all kinds of terrains. It is a phenomenal commuter bike and absolute VFM. Being a street naked there is absolutely no wind protection. So on highways there is considerable drag at speeds above 120 kmph. But the same goes for any other bike of this kind. I have installed handlebar risers, Tripmachine grip wraps and use Fego float when I go for long highway runs. For the last five months I have been running GT clip ons and rear set footpegs on my Interceptor. And hence for short runs I am able to enjoy the slightly more aggressive GT riding dynamics also. Enough options from Givi exist for mounting hard luggage and there are plethora of soft luggage options as well. So go for the Interceptor. The slightly higher tank capacity compared to GT 650 would benefit on highway runs. Ride safe and stay safe.

Re: RE continental gt 650 for Ride ?
Hello everyone,
My brother has booked a BS6 GT650 Mister clean chrome last month and he would be getting the delivery by next month
. Now, what I am worried about is that the bike is Chrome and we all know that RE's are so prone to rusting so is there any way we can keep the chrome looking like new and prevent it form rusting? We cannot opt for 3m ceramic coating as there are no detailing centres where we live.
Thanks in advanceLast edited by Shubham_Chauhan; 08-14-2020, 12:27 PM.

The overall fit finish and chrome work on the Twins is very high quality. I have owned at Classic 500 Chrome for the last 6 years. I have lived within 500 m from the sea all this while. My Chrome monster does not have a spec of rust.Originally posted by Shubham_Chauhan View PostHello everyone,

I have not gone in for any kind of surface coating in all these years. What I have done is to spend at least 5 mins in a day dusting up my bike with a good microfibre cloth. I get the bike washed at a professional vehicle washing outlet once in a month. I also occasionally use Wurth Paint protectant liquid on the tank, mudguards and other high gloss bits.
Believe me elbow grease and personal care will keep your bike rust free. For any small rust spots that do come up use the Autosol metal polish. It is very gentle and it removes rust spots before they grow big.
I also own Interceptor Orange Crush. Following the same process with good results.
Cannot comment on PPF as I have never used it.
Hope that helps.

Cleaning the bike daily is always the first thing to do and we've also ordered the protectant and metal polish.
