which is the best 125cc bike?

      Popularity : Gladiator
      Styling : CBF Stunner
      Technology/Mileage : HH Glamour Fi
Comfort,Price and reliability : Go for Glamour or Super Splendor

125cc is really crowded segment, Zeus and Shine are not bad either. All the bikes mentioned in this post are long termers and reliable. Kindly test ride to gauge your comfort level on the bikes.

vipin bhai.... just a thought,, no offense

this kinda posts just confuse people nothing else...
i think you should give your point of view rather than classifying bikes like that
cbf stunner is not a value for money bike.... then y put its name ther at all
and also if you classified bikes like that... then you should have given YOUR point of view of all the bikes

Comfort,Price and reliability : Go for Glamour or Super Splendor
is it .... no one beats the reliability of original splendor
and i never recommend super splendor because i have known them to be not so reliable
and to top it... hero honda spare parts are so costly

and probably he has chosen 125 cc because of its low pricing
glamour FI costs as much as a 150cc and again not practical for a daily commuter ... what if there is a problem with fi in the middle of the road?
those stupid mechs would not be able to fix it mostly
and anyways.... for tht price i would choose a unicorn instead of glamour fi

        no offense as said.....

        @ joykarnawat :

if comfort is your only criteria ......
        gladiator , zeus , discover 135 DTS - I

i dont like the shine personally........ you can try if you like
as vipin said ,,, test ride the bikes and decide for yourself
if i were you.... i would not mind a tad lower mileage and choose comfort and handling as my priority
as far as i know gladiator can give lowest mileage of all
but it depends on your use also
zeus is a good bike ...
discover is also a good bike

also buy good helmet and protective accesories like elbow and knee guards atleast.. then jacket and gloves..... it may come in time
but knee and elbow guards are necessary for safety
dont know nowadays anyone may bump into you from nowhere

        cheers
Hope is a good thing ,
may be the best of things and
no good thing ever dies .

I am looking for VFM as well as comfort. Also I would not be selling it. I want to know that what will be the fuel efficiency in 125 cc bikes? what is the service duration? Also I will be mainly driving in the city areas.

Expect the starting 125/135cc bikes mileage to be around 65kmpl..

The most VFM product in this segment according to me currently is the XCD 135
It has got a lovely smooth engine.....
                    Looks good...
Expect a mileage of at least 60kmpl+ ...(ideally it should be more than this considering the type of a rider you look like)
Its a good city commuter and probably the most VFM product in the market..
It sells at a tad less than 45k on road pune for the base model (kick start)
and goes to around 51k on road pune for the top end model which includes a self starter and a disc brake....
There is an intermediate model available as well which is priced in between these two....

Service duration of bikes is in the range of 2.5k kms to 4k kms...

Since you mentioned that you would probably be riding in the city almost all the time....you can also look at Honda Shine
                    Its a good city tool
It is and feels more powerful that XCD135 with a good sorted torque which is available quite early in the rev band which means that you will not need to change gears as frequently...hence making it a good city ride....!

Though, pricing of this bike would be a tad higher than xcd 135 and the expected mileage would also be a tad lesser than XCD 135.....

price ranging from 45k to 60k. Also, I have read that bikes vibrate above speed of 60km/hr. I need comfort in city driving. Fuel efficiency should be 50+.

If you could stretch a bit beyond by say 5-6K, you would get a really good executive commuter. If the Suzuki service backup is good in your area, I would say go for GS eyes closed. Else maybe Unicorn-nothing to beat those 2 as far as commuting is concerned.
If it is the 125 segment, my recommendation would be the Honda Shine. Super smooth, refined, hassle free. Moreover you can't really go wrong with a Honda!

MO: Try Stunner because the most contemporary and good looking of the lot. Gives decent power, efficiency, comfort and style.

I'm not saying its the best of the lot or that other bikes are bad, but I think it would fit into your requirements for a new bike

why are there not much Yamaha gladiators on the road in spite of being a good bike? In my observation, i have noticed hh glamour, bajaj exceed, hh splendor, mostly on the road?
Is there something wrong with Yamaha gladiator?

Its because of the two reasons..

Yamaha is know for only power and not for Mileage (people's mythology) and also yamaha SV guys accept that it returns only 50 mileage....
most 125cc customers are for both power and mileage

And also the looks part.....theres something missing in it.......though it has everything.......

And also comparitively less SV centres....than other Indian manufacturers........
