  • What Bike ?

    Hi All,

I am planning to buy a new bike...but i am really confused..I just need some suggestion for buying a good bike.

    My requirements are :
    1. 150cc +
    2.Mileage >40
    3.Good Handling
    4.Reliability
My concern is that i have not rode a bike around 3 years after my college....so i feel little bit of rusty while driving new bikes...

I am 5 6" well built weighing around 65 kg....

I have short listed Apache 160 (carb version)... but now after seeing Apache 180 and pulsar 180 UGIV... I am completely confused !!!!

Pulsor 180 UGIV : I think its little bit bulky for my height and weight..

Yam FZ : Good One ...but very less mileage and almost no pillion seat....

Apache 160 : Heart says go for it......But still confused.....

So guys please help me out.....

I think the main choices you have are Pulsar 180 and RTR 180

i would suggest RTR , for its a great power packed machine with good all round features and is also light weight

Exactly same state as I am in .. except I had already trimmed out pulsars, FZ but confused between RTR 180/RTR FI/Unicorn ...

Anyways from your list I guess RTR 180 makes the most sense. It's 150+cc, 40kmpl shouldn't be a problem for that bike, handling is spot on and relaly flickable, with 137kg and clip ons it does not feel bulky at all (trust me on that, as I am also wary of heavy bikes)
If you are inclined towards RTR 160, I would say rather go for RTR 180 as there you are getting:
          - Better, wider tubeless tyres
          - Better stability as wheelbase has increased
          - Off course better power
          - Better low and medium end power and torque which is good to have in city riding (but I am missing 6th gear)
          - Better looks (say white color with new rear fendor, white techo, black clip ons...)

RTR 180 meets your requirements. 40+ mileage might depend on your riding style.

                      +1 For RTR 180
It really seems to be a good bike with good performance and handling. Even if the mileage is 35 then would you drop that bike only for 5 kmpl?

Other than that, you can also consider R15 if its in your budget. Power, handling, light weight and comfort (you gotta get used to it). And surprisingly the mileage is 40+ in city.
Other options: FZ, RTR 160 (carb/FI)
                      Fear is the Trigger!

every1's telling about RTR180...... but wait for on-road test results....... drive the vehicle for yourself and then decide....... 5-6 with 65 is good combo man..... dont worry abt the bulkiness of bike....... it'll suit you...... any 180 will suit you...... even try GS.....
