  • Help me to choose the right bike

Hi guys.. currently I own a pulsar 220 dts-fi which has done 18000 km so far,and now am planing to buy a new bike,My average runing will be 100-120km/day so ride quality is important to me. also It should maintain 90-100km/hr easily.Am thinking of the following bikes please help me to choose. 30-35km/ltr milage will do for me.

    1) New 220 Dtsi
    2) RTR 180
    3) A used thunderbird ( but worried about the quality as have to travel 100km/day 50% highway 50% town) and new twin sperk is out of my budget.
    4) Fazer 150
    5) Can the Unicorn be considerd,as it has good ride quality.
Though I like R15 but it would be out of my budget, and think so would be new ZMA-R I wanted to purchase on cash only, THANKS

I think your DTSFi is less than 2 years and has done just 18K, this bike is best for 100km/day and 90-100kmph conditions. You can use DTSFi for another 20-30K easily Think about ??!......BTW, Any specific reason why you don't want to use DTSFi for your needs ?

Unicorn can satisy your needs, but with reduced cruising speed of 80 kmph to ensure no undue stress on engine (as it is a 150cc mill).

+1 , Why do u need a change anyway? While Uni is in ur list, i guess Zma also can be in ur list!
When everything comes ur way, u r in the wrong way ;)

If you want a change please don't step down to smaller engines as you won't be satisfied with it at all. Since you have a p220 DTS-FI getting a P220 DTS-i doesn't make much sense. IF it fits your budget wait for some time and get a ZMR[if at all it is going to be launched] or if you are fine with a bit dated looks, the ZMA-R by far the best faired tourer in India. Some tall people are not comfortable with the riding position of the R15 and complain lower back pain so didn't suggest and as it is you have mentioned it is out of your budget.

                      IMO get a ZMA-R. You'll love it.

Unless your current bike is having some unfixable problem , i see no reason to buy another bike .

@Thread starter :-Hi you've already got a p220...another p220 doesn't make any sense...you goina cruise at 90~100 kmph.,goina ride 100+kms everyday...so you needa a reliable bike...wait for the new zma to roll .,until then continue with your current ride !
