Untill one owns its and rides it extensivley then he can feel that R15 is worth its price. it bueatifull engine is the best part of it.

Check out the R15 threads...There are people who have been to Leh, Done non stop 700kms, using it as tourer bike...proved itself as a good tourer.

Its worth every penny.

mate first decide your requirements like-
1)budget
2)mileage
3)power
4)uses (city or touring)
then decide the model accordingly
R15 and Fz/fazer both belongs to different segments..
both are value for money..

and if budget is not a prob then go for R15 blindly...

the only problem i feel about R15 is the seating position ..
i am 6 so maybe its with me ..

but IT IS ONE OF THE BEST BIKES EVER MADE

If you are hurt by crouched position and two piece handle bars, then don't go for it.
Fazer would be good for you.
There are many people who are dissatisfied with R15 only because they didn't knew how a sportsbike really feels like.

If you are uncomfortable with the riding position i would say go for the FZ16. Otherwise even 6fters have no issues with the seating position. It will take some time getting used to though.

As for the bike being worth it. There hasn't been a single day where i have repented getting the bike. There's a silly grin on my face everytime i ride it. What more could a biker ask for?

R15 is worth every paisa, there's no doubt about it. But matching the bike to your needs is different thing, the seating posture is quite different and not so comfortable on long hauls compared to FZ/Fazer. If you like naked FZ then go for it else go for the the most beautiful bike....FAZER !!

I use the R15 primarily as a tourer . Long long 1000 +km 2 day rides are a breeze.
U dont feel nothin if you are used to sports bike.
U ll get used the position , Its v v comfy. No wrist, back or front or side or whatever pains.

We all have dreams of getting An SBK someday ,dont we ?
If u cant digest the position of R15 , what would you do with a R1 or a Busa ?

U ll start liking the R15 only when u start riding it regularly and like it even more when u ride someother bike later , then u ll know how comfortable it actually is.

well said bro ..but i would like to add few things ..

in xbhp hyd a guy sold his R15 because his shoulder was giving some problem and couldnt take the position .. so he got a xtreme

our very own sunny bhaiya was telling me personally that how he was facing problem with the bikes because of seating position when he came to hyd ..

a little physics .. when you lean forward you weight is taken off your butt and transfered onto your upperbody ..
in this case HANDS ...
and bending the spine for too long is never treated good

R15 is a awesome bike but lacks touring AS COMPARED to FZ
