But since it is your first bike, test ride a bunch of other bikes in similar range like RTR 180, R15 and ZMA so that u know which one best suits your riding style.
Best of luck with test riding and yeah, don't forget to buy some safety gear... atleast a good ISI helmet and riding gloves.
Thanks for that info. yeah Ill be very safe, very very safe

Well, among 180 and 220 - I would recommend you the 220 simply because it is a better bike in ALL regards, except mileage.

looks like he has gone for the 220... no bike yet.. so no reply as yet..
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

                    Pulsar 180 or Pulsar 220Fi

                    Hi,

I going to take a bike on this month ending. I' am expecting a minimum milege of 40. Initially i thought of pulsar 180. But my friends suggesting me go for pulsar 220F. But i am more concerned about the milege i can get form 220. I am really confused which one i should take. I am from hyderabad.

Please help me choosing the correct bike. And cost of pulsar 220F is 90000 in hyderabad. Is it right ..or can i get less that cost.

m not sure, but the cost should be around 85k.. but bajaj have recently increased the price..
Mileage would be good enough at 220 as well if you ride at 60-70.. But the extra performance you get.. and not to forget the Projector headlamps.. the best lighting in india.. just go for P220.. no point in P180 and then after some time upgrading to p220..

also, this is one time investment.. go for the best..

If mileage is a worrying factor and you absolutely NEED TO get 40 kmpl each and every time, please stay away from the P220. It CAN return anything between 32 and 54kmpl depending upon how you ride and take care of the bike. (Thats the range I have got)

With P180, you can be surer that the FE would be closer to 40/40+ more often than not.

If you are okay with the former, P220 is a great bike to own.
