  • Suzuki gs150r // CBZ xtreme

    Hi,
I am planning to buy a bike within 1-2 weeks. I had earlier pulsar 150cc. But didn't like it that much. So, planning to have either suzuki gs150r or cbz exteme.
Had been through various other threads and some guys have high words for Suzuki. I am too inclined towards it. But please help me through some of my concerns :
    1) Hero Honda have excellent service centers, but I am not sure about the service centers of Suzuki
    2) I will be driving it mainly on weekends. For weekdays, there is cab service provided by the company. So, there will be lots of long drives. Which bike serves the purpose best?. In terms of smoothness and comfort.
    3) I am not much concerned about the looks, but in a long run it should be comfi ride.

Pour in guys. Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

My vote would go for the GS 150 cos it feels a more refined and rounded product with looks to die for.

        1. True, for some this makes huge difference, b'cos time is becoming more precious in our lives. Having 10 svc centers within a radius of 3 kms is more convinient than driving 15/20 kms to the nearest svc station. If this point is of paramount importance go for Xtreme.
        2. Long drives : GSR b'cos 6th gear will make the engine relax and cruise at higher speed. Xtreme is also capable of long drives.
        3. you are a real biker !!!!
I suggest you to test drive both bikes and listen to your heart !!

Where did you find these "excellent" service centres? Nothing is further from the truth! At least not here in Pune.

To be fair, I haven't tried them all, but those I have, have been a really sick experience. And excellent is surely not a term I would use for ANY of them!

            Hi guyz ....

            1) Hey, to me even if the svc center is within 15km, I am ok. I am only worried about the kind of servicing these people give. As in, one my friend is having honda unicorn and curses the honda's service station every time.
Do you know any one having a suzuki bike and has experience regarding their service centers?
            2) What I am worried about is, service-after-service will the suzuki bike be equally smooth as its now??

And, am I real biker .... dont believe in showing-off

GS150R is really a highway bike, it cruises so well! Besides, 50kmph at 3.5k rpm is a bliss, especially for someone like me coming from Caliber 115. That 6th gear really packs some punch.

I haven't tried the CBZ X, but my vote goes to GS150R.

EDIT: You should've added a poll for the question.

Smooth means engine smoothness or service ? If engine, then it does improve day by day, more u ride, really my experience !!!

I vote for GS because of the 6th cog&better gizmos. Overall a better package.

Its all mind game... very few ppl buy bike for requirement. and 95% for styling and brand name. I remember one day I had chat with a "pan walla" who was arguing why I didn't buy FZ instead of GS... and I had tough time convincing him that it doesn't suit my requirements. Result- I failed.

The GS would be a better one for you!

FInally, I have purchased Suzuki gs150r. Its awesome. Pickup at 2nd gear is not that good but at 3,4,5 u can feel the difference.
looks are good, not heavy for the pockets, very smooth ... in all very practical bike in 150cc
