  • Help reqd in choosing between R15 and P220 DTSi

    Hi all,
After riding my CBZ Xtreme for an year and half, I decided to change my ride.
I need your help in choosing between R15 and P220 DTSi.
I was more inlcined towards the R15, after reading all positive reviews of the Fastest pulsar, I am confused in choosing between these two.
I am an average city commuter, will often go for a long ride once in a while. I'm a lean and short guy (5' 8"). I find it sometimes hard for me to stretch both my legs to the ground in the city traffic with my bike. About my riding, I am no expert. And almost 75% of the bike's usage will be in city only.

Is it worth an upgrade to buy any of these machines after riding a CBZ Xtreme. Kindly suggest me in pointing out the pros and cons of each of these bikes.
Thanks for your help in advance.

      Welcome to xBHP.

If you have a lakh to spend, go for R15, no doubts about it. Else along with Pulsar, take a look at RTR series, which I feel suit your requirement better.

I would also suggest, going through the Ownership threads and other Pulsar comparison threads in the What Bike section.

In the end, nothing is better than a test drive.

All the best, keep us posted on your decision.

                    Dear Santoosh,

I have marked "-" means not yet to confirmed. since it's new product, has to go long for VFM.

                    What you say?

Go for 220. Even i'm 5.7" and 61 KGS.. still it is very easy to handle in traffic. pickup is perfect for city and highways. U can easily zip through traffic.
With the 220 headlights, you will just love night riding.

                        Very True!

                        About RTR 180..
It holds all pulsar goodies except those headlights, backlit switches, self cancelling indicators etc etc!
Rest everything in RTR carbs a close copetition..
Either its city handling or flickability or breaking or pickup or torque..
Just everything is in ample on RTR and UG4 both..
Though while riding P220 i met an serious problem..
The center stand on UG4 was touching the ground making a THUD sound everytime i leaned the bike..may be that's happening because of the wicked R gene in Me!!

jiten, as a CBZ rider, make sure you match low/mid power of CBZ-X with your upgrade, P220 comes to life post 6000 rpm. So test ride P220 preferably not at showroom but from some friends.

how do u classify a bike as vfm ? and whats a long way , stay in tha market for years is it ?

                            @john,

r15 if u dont mind the extra penny.
220 if u wanna save up a little amount and buy some good riding gear , its a good package .

R15 is a good "specific purpose" bike ..An amazing machine no doubt
220 is an overall mix and match of city+hiway+pretty good any terrain doable.

                            u wont regret on both

I guess if he was considering A180 he would have mentioned it.
I say, its purely personal choice.
