  • Stunner & Glamour

    Hi Guys

    My Requirements:
    1. Should give a very decent Mileage
    2. Should have some power - the accelerating experience
    3. Should look good
    4. Should be easy to maintain
    5. should be able to reach speed of 100
    6. My Budget is 60k
I am tall, thin and not a power user of bikes.
I dont wanna go to High End Bikes say 150+ or heavy bikes
So I choose Glamour for the Brand HeroHonda.

When I came to know about Stunner, I forgot HH-Glamour.
The PGM-Fi version of both are good, but I find Stunner is too pricey in this 2nd version,
can I sacrifice and go for Glamour again?

I dont biker friends-groups, I would primarily use for office, but i would love to join such groups.
Please fill your serious opinions. I need them!!

love that PGM-Fi! why not go for Apache Fi - coz it costs only 2k more. dont wanna be a kid to get afraid of handling a 150 bike! any appreciation guys?

Cost difference b/w Stunner PGMFi and Glamour PGMFi is more than 10K (obviously Glamour the cheaper one). Go for Glam PGMFi (B'lore OTR is about 61K).

Glamour is hard core commuter and not a speed machine. You may reach 100kmph on speedo but will strain the bike (any 125cc for that matter) !!

PGMFi will make the engine very smooth, much better than carb version, many other benefits of Fi . FYI, Glamour cost in B'lore (OTR) varies from 60K to 63.5K check out options !!

If you want a sporty look go for the stunner. You can buy the carb version and buy riding gear with those 15 k which you would save.

Honda stunner carb version makes sense to buy

i have done 33k on my glamour b4 handling it to my brother.
not the PGM-FI one rather the plain one.

+s are many like superb engine, good power even when its only 9 bhp, O maintaince, racing bike type cornering ability etc.

but u got to agree that looks are not upto the mark and if u are tall ( as u said) its not the One for u

go for stunner , plain - no FI.

            u wont regret it.
offcourse FI makes a lot of difference but not in 125 cc commuters but in power segment,
and price is too high, not to mention resale will suck.

for ur requirement the Yamaha Gladiator suits better than other options. Ride it once and then decide.

I would go for the gladiator anyday, though if you want a bit of flash, the stunner it is...And as hydbiker suggested,it suits your requirement.Have a TD of both and I'm sure you'll like it better

Stunner reminds me of early CBZ days (only sporty/sexy looking bike at that point of time), ....road presence of stunner on B'lore has really stunned n stumped me,...believe me it's a hit in B'lore !!!

Why do not you look at HH Achiever? Decent power and very good mileage (may be five less than a 125 cc). Easy to reach 100 kmph without much strain as 125 cc. The price of Achiever is less than normal 150 cc.

Stunner FI is awesome and I rode it once. The acceleration is awesome. The only problem with it is, the price. The carb version vibrates a lot after 60 kmph and even more at higher speeds. However, you can buy carb stunner and replace the front sprocket with the one from Stunner FI which has one teeth extra which is giving Stunner FI an edge over Carb Stunner. Also you can fit the handle bar weights from Stunner FI to alleviate the problem of vibrations.

Stunner gives me 50 kmpl in Bangalore. At 11 bhp, its definitely more powerful than a Glamour's 9 bhp engine. Its easily the best looking bike in the segment - some say it looks bigger than most 150-200cc bikes in india. I've never been able to exceed 90-92 kmph speed on a Stunner, but I'm not sure whether HH Glamour can do it either. The Fi engine might be smoother, but with a difference of just 0.1bhp between the carb and Fi versions of Stunner, there won't be any noticeable difference in power. I think its pretty clear that carb Stunner is the best choice.

However, I must warn you that most Stunner owners have complained of vibes. Honda has tried to rectify it by adding bar-end weights in the Fi version. But I'm quite sure you can get that done on the carb version for a couple of hundred bucks.

Honda has decreased the teeth number of rear sprocket which enables the the Stunner FI to make at least 10 kmph more in each gear. Stunner FI touches 100 kmph. The Glamour FI's top speed is only 95 kmph.
